Ramada by Wyndham - Gunsan — Hotel in Gunsan-si

Had a few days visiting relations in Gunsan, they'd booked us into the Ramada for two nights.||||Extremely happy to find the hotel was a new build with none of the, er, quirkier design choices you often find in Korean hotels.||||Modern, clean room with a large, comfortable bed, TV and desk. (International plug sockets too - so important nowadays). I'm not sure of the room's "class", but it was likely to have been at least "superior", quite large and with enough storage and floorspace that two people with two big cases could unpack what was needed, put the cases aside and not be bumping into each other to get into the bathroom. ||||Breakfast buffet was great: a wide range of items to choose from, with a chef on-hand to cook delicious fresh omelettes.||Foyer/concierge staff were very helpful and spoke excellent English, most fortunate as my Korean's terrible.||||Eunpa Park is very close by, a great place for a walk with a some good coffee shops and restaurants. If you want to visit the old town for movie locations, cool new boutiques, cafés or the Gunsan Modern History Museum, then they're only a very short taxi or bus ride away.||||I thoroughly recommend the hotel to anyone - even if you're there for business in the slightly more distant heavy industry areas. A modern hotel in a great location when staying in Gunsan. The rooms are very clean and spacious and the comfortable beds and cooling air-conditioning make for a great nights sleep. Staff at this hotel are outstanding in their effort to meet customers needs and ensure that your stay is an enjoyable one. The entrance to Eunpa Park is just across from the hotel and we started and ended our days with a stroll in the beautiful surroundings. The Ramada Gusan is a great base to explore and staff were super at making recommendations and helping us get to points of interest. They arranged taxis, even going out to speak to the drivers to make sure we were dropped off in exactly the right spot and when we wanted to visit the Islands we were provided with written information on how to get there and all the bus numbers and locations drawn on a map for us. This particular member of staff even took the time to write a note in Korean incase we got lost on the way and a second note to help us find our way back. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay...

We are just finishing our stay at the Ramada Wyndham Gunsan. I do not write many reviews, but found the service at this hotel to be outstanding. The general manager, Marco Lee, went out of his way to make our stay exceptional. The hotel is modern and clean. It is near a beautiful lake with an excellent 6 mile trail for walking or running. We were in town visiting our son who is stationed at the airbase. We found the location very convenient. I recommend this hotel highly to anyone staying in Gunsan and will certainly stay there again if we should...
