I’ve stayed in Shilla Stay Guro for 21nights. I have nothing to complain about, I have only things that I want to give them compliments.
I very much enjoyed my stay at Shilla Stay Guro. The Hotel is situated on Subway line 2 which is super convenient. To Gangnam station by subway only takes 25min. There is also bus stop next to the hotel, you can easily travel in Seoul and you have 6017 bus which is for Incheon Airport.
One more big plus is the self laundry 24hours which is right next to the hotel. It is the best self laundry place I’ve ever seen! It is located in the big residential building with Lotte Cinema. It is on the ground floor next to the entrance of Lotte cinema.
Hotel’s staff are amazing and helpful. I truly felt that they really care about their customers. The rooms were super clean. My room had a quiet nice view of the city. I really appreciated the room cleaning team. They are super good at their work. My room was always spotlessly cleaned. They offer me 2 bottles of water everyday and they never forget. Guro area may not be the best for tourists but you can live like a local and around the hotel there are so many good restaurants and shops. And everywhere in Seoul you can travel easily by subway and bus which are right next to the hotel.
I haven’t tried their breakfast, lunch or dinner. I am not really a breakfast person so.. :-) but I went to the restaurant once to check their foods. It seemed really delicious and they’re all buffet. It was nicely well-made comfort foods. I will certainly try it next time.
I definitely recommend Shilla Stay guro to everyone and I’d absolutely love to stay again for...
Read moreRelatively nice stay room is spacious for two... Intimate people... But not big enough if you tend to have arguments and need to run to a corner to ignore the other person... Furnishing is relatively new but some details need to be addressed... For example showers will 100% make the tile floors wet where as baths will 100% flood out the washroom... Evident with the wooden floor boards outside the washroom expanding... And personal experience... Washroom window... Yes there is a window not over looking the city... It's more like a built in peep whole for whoever is in the bedroom... The window needs to be re-silicon'd the wood on the bedroom side is starting to expand and get moldy... But it's close to a major train station and bus stop... Also there is a pub street no more than a block away filled with BBQs, pubs, fried chicken and beer place, fresh seafood places and escorts (did not partake just saw too many skimpy clothes'd girls handing out escort fliers in - 2c weather)... You can't control the heat and ac setup... It's kept at a blazing 24c and the only thing you can do is turn it off and on (so you think)... Called the front desk but they said just open the Window... Did that to let some cold air in... As I sat to enjoy some fresh air I heard the heat spinning back up... Now I have a temperate rain forest of a room... Humid and hot... Thankfully I've got my window kindly labeled with a fall hazard sticker...They have fast wifi... Also a convenient store right next door. The gym is on the top floor and overlooks the city... Overall I like it but also there's stuff I...
Read moreParents are staying here currently. The problem is that it is so hot at night, but you can't turn on the air conditioning. And it sounds like it turns off in the whole building sometimes. They are so hot at night, and there are no sheets - only a heavy duvet. They were provided with a fan but that isn't very helpful. They even sweat at night. They found they cpudl crack the window open slightly, so that seemed to help.
The room is incredibly small. There are no rooms with king sized beds - only queen. There is not much walking space, only a bit at the end of the bed and in the entryway. Not great if you have a number of suitcases.
No outlet plug next to the bed on one said, so one has to keep their phone on the desk.
*There are also no washcloths, so you have to either wash yourself with your hands or with a hand towel. Or go buy one at the convenience store, which is conveniently located right next to the hotel.
The buffet is great, though. My parents are fully enjoying that. Except apparently the coffee maker is only putting out lukewarm water, and not hot.
If you have a membership? points? rewards? (I can't remember) with them, be sure to book through their official site. My mom accidentally booked through a different site and the hotel refused to give points to her membership.
Great location and...
