Union Hotel — Hotel in Seoul

Beware of paid, fake reviews. 詐欺です。10-day scam stay. This place literally gave me trauma. The WiFi never stayed connected so I couldn’t get any work done. (I had to use cafes and coworking spaces). Housekeeping ignored do not disturb signs and rang the bell every morning and asked us when we will leave. Ironically cleaning was non-existent. Hair dryer almost exploded the first day as the plug was damaged (staff simply moved it to the next door room), where we were moved later. The room’s condition was ABYSMAL (the photos are FAKE). Bed sheets had holes, the shower and bathroom stunk, the water pressure is so bad that it takes 40 mins to shower. Our fridge’s door was falling off. Heated floors were so loud they woke us up. Heating didn’t work the first five days. Sauna is COLD. The hot water in the public bath gave us burns! Most importantly, the staff’s attitude is disgusting. Especially the female staff who stopped talking to me mid-conversation and turned to my husband, while speaking in basic Japanese. ふざけないで。 I speak better Japanese than a racist like you, but I don’t want to engage in conversation with unsocialized and untrained animals. At this point it was getting unbearable so I just called my Korean friend who gave them a verbal bashing. They miraculously prepared the receipt they had told me was “just impossible” after one call from my friend. マジでうける Anyway, after my friend’s call they started phoning our room at 1 am… So I disconnected the phone but they sent messages to the tablet. Isn’t that harassment? We had to unfortunately call them after that for heating issues, and the male staff kept looking at me and trying to talk to me “did you get our messages?” I was in my pajamas and really uncomfortable, and I told him I didn’t want to talk about anything with them at 3 AM!! My husband just kicked him out. Seriously it was creepy as hell. キモすぎる。I don’t recommend anyone to book here, especially female travelers. I have never had a stay this horrifying and uncomfortable. Btw, these pro-scammers never answer their phone or messages, so Booking dot com was not able to get in touch with them either. Please, please save yourself the trouble and book elsewhere. Absolutely love this place. Wanted to book this throughout our trip but was fully booked until the final two days of the trip. Excellent simple and elegant design with the commitment of going environmental with their hotel amenities (waste-free soaps and lotions). Below are some of my points for amenities. 14F - Reception and Listening Lounge (Yes, you check in at the rooftop floor not the main floor. The listening lounge is perfect for people who want to relax quietly and also comes with an outdoor patio garden. 13F-6F - Hotel Rooms - All the hotel guests are staying. 7F - Yoga Room - There are scheduled paid lessons but you can go when it's available for a stretch. 5F & 3F - Unionwork - Only for Union staff. 4F - Coworking Lounge - Great for people who needs working space. 2F - Upfit Wellness Club - Gym for hotel guests, staff, and gym members. 1F - Lobby - This also has a Sonyou Cafe which have fresh made bread. B1 - Upfit Wellness Club - You can play golf and tennis on the projector VR screen. B2 - Coin Laundry - They only accept credit cards.

Amazing. Extremely close to subway station like a two minute walk. Definitely a wellness hotel. This would be my number one hotel for my future visit....

Oh my god! I decided to go with this hotel because it was supposedly recently renovated (2022) and because of the location. I also choose this hotel because it had such great reviews. But boy was I wrong! The room they gave me was not only old but had water damaged. The bathroom also smelled like someone was smoking in it. It also smell really bad. The level of guest service wasn’t that great either as it took them roughly 30 mins to get me the humidifier I requested. Coming from my amazing hotel in Japan this was a great big disappointment. I rather take a nice and clean room over this bigger and dirtier room. Also the room didn’t look all that clean, the pillow case had stains as did most of the surface area. It’s as if someone half ass the cleaning. DO NOT BOOK HERE! Seriously, do not be fooled, book elsewhere!
