My husband and I stayed at the hotel for three days on a little golf trip. The hotel is 5 star and the rooms were clean but I felt they could have been better kitted out. The hair dryer has no puff in it but the bathroom on a whole was really nice. It does have a little bit of a plastic feel to it but the setting is really nice. The pool hours aren’t very good and the pool was freezing cold, it would have been much more inviting if it was heated. In the three days we stayed there we didn’t see one single person use the pool. Breakfast in the morning was very small and limited, they had a nice selection of fruit but didn’t have any yoghurt at all for 2/3 nights we stayed so we had to buy our own from the super market. We received a large complimentary bottle Of water in our room each day which was helpful. The bed was extremely comfy and we had a nice view of hole 18! We were disappointed in the food menu for the restaurant below reception as it didn’t have all the options and it was already a small menu so we had to leave the resort to go to Algorfa and eat in the town. We wanted to eat at Frijolino on our final night but a large group had booked the entire restaurant so had no availability until after 9:30pm which was too late and this restaurant isn’t open On Monday or Tuesday. Considering we came to play golf here in their ‘high season’ I thought it was poor that the restaurant wasn’t open every day.
We played La Finca golf course on the last day and I really enjoyed it. We didn’t receive a free bottle of water or free tees in the buggy which we did at Lo Romero. I feel for the price it costs to play the course, little gestures like this should be included as it does make all the difference. The course is great, lots of nice views and water hazards and a mix of wide and narrow and memorable holes. We also ate at the golf club house restaurant for lunch, the staff were lovely and the views are amazing. I wouldn’t order the pizza again as it was pretty gross but the chips were nice and I’d probably order a...
Read moreHonestly anyone would be silly to even think about staying here. This has been one of the worst stays. We paid 165 euros for a lovers suite one night, which comes with cava, rose petals and sweet. Only to find out it's not a suite, and there was no cava, no rose petals, nothing. We had paid over price for a room we thought was going to be worth it. We got a standard double bedroom. The staff are not professional, when I complained the guys just laughed at me. Later that day we went for a meal, that wasn't included in the price. If I'm hones, I can't fault the meal, it was lovely and it's what has made me give it at least one star.(The restaurant is under a different management team) so therefore the treatment we got was better. Going back to the hotel we had that worse nights sleep, people where trying to get into our room, banging on the door and screaming. All night. We woke up for breakfast. Absolutely knackered from the poorest sleep I've ever had. So as we are both smokers, we decided to go for a cigarette. I told the waiter we wasn't leaving we was simply going for a cig. Then after just 5 minutes our table was taken, when I told the breakfast manager, he really couldn't care less. So we had to wait for a table. Thank you to the hotel for the worst birthday ive ever had. You really made us feel special . Would NOT recommended. And definitely would never ever return. To the hotel, you're hotel is pure shite, you should be a 1...
Read moreVery nice hotel with good facilities. Breakfast was very well catered with many options. Staff were very helpful with providing hot water and milk for tea (no kettle in the room to the dismay of the girlfriend). A couple of issue though we're the works going on during the day on the building, were the worker decided to whistle all day while working on the balconies outside which was rather disturbing by the pool. We also had some issues with setting up for the wedding we were attending. The staff seemed to be overrun and my girlfriend and I actually spent a fair amount of time setting up the tables which felt like something the staff should have been managing (the bride actually started this but we took over so safe her the stress). One other minor thing was there were no irons in the room either, meaning I had to pay €10 to get my shirt and trousers pressed. I would like to come back but possibly with a car as the site is...
