Frijolino — Restaurant in Algorfa

COMENCEMOS CON ALGO DEL NUEVO MUNDO O DEL VIEJO CONTINENTE... Cuando en un restaurante te sorprenden con estas palabras, sabes que lo mejor está por venir. Hace años que he tenido la oportunidad de vivir en éste gran país de Centroamérica y FRIJOLINO, después de tanto tiempo me ha trasladado culinariamente a Teotihuacan, allí entre las pirámides del Sol y la Luna "que lugar"..., desde que en 2010 la comida mexicana se reconoció como Patrimonio de la Humanidad, han sido muchos en Europa (Paris, Lyon, Londres, Madrid...) que han intentado pintar platos comestibles mexicanos. Desde entonces ha evolucionado de manera imparable esta moda de la que sin duda es una de las cocinas más apreciadas del mundo y aquí, en este lugar instalado en medio de un impecable y cuidado campo de golf "La Finca Resort" mezclan la tradición prehispánica con otros momentos importantes de su historia y el resultado de técnica y tradiciones ancestrales combinados con la influencia española, hacen que las papilas gustativas segregan más de prisa que lo habitual justo para empezar con buenos tragos elaborados al momento (micheladas, diferentes margaritas, cheladas y mezcalitas). Lo primero que te viene a la mente son los Tacos y empanadas, Frijolino es mucho más que estos dos platos conocidos de México (quesadilla de arrachera, gambon salteado con chili guajillo flambeado con mezcal, guacamole casero y explosión de granos de granada, carne de ternera enchilada de Osaca, burrito de costillar de ternera, Entrecôte arranchera...) con una decoración agradable, colorido aspecto, iluminación perfecta para cenar, una música de fondo que está pero apenas escuchas, junto con la atención impecable y profesional del servicio y su enorme gama de sabores y sorprendentes texturas México no es solo lindo para la vista, sino que es auténtico festival para el paladar...

2023 - 1 year on and tried to give it another go. Tried to book a table on their website but not possible for 5 people you must request. At the time I could have made 2 reservations for 2 tables under different names but followed the instructions. 48 hours later they send an email saying request cancelled fully booked!!! Staff still have the same attitude and only solution is sorry phone next time..... The food is lovely but this place is missing a great front of house. For the prices they charge the staff are too casual the food delivered too fast. It Has potential but its missing that Zigga Zig Za...

I have eaten here a few times and I have never been disappointed , I will always return here for the following reasons , The staff are welcoming professional and friendly , and the food ….. WOW it never fails to impress me , I am slowly working my way through the menu , they have a version of a Bloody Mary which is also a fantastic aperitif and certainly a favourite of mine and this to a very well appointed wonderful wine list . The venue is very quirky and well presented and I can’t wait for my next visit 10 out of 10 I always think that booking in advance will never leave you disappointed...
