Had a wonderful stay at the delightful boutique B&B Roca Verde. We were a last minute booking and cannot believe how fortunate we were to find this hidden gem in the Malaga hills. ||The owners, Sandra and Juan, are the simply wonderful hosts and have transformed this house and grounds into the most beautiful accommodation. ||The rooms are very well presented, simple and practical and have some lovely touches. All rooms have a little terrace area leading to manicured gardens and the pool, which offers a number of lounges and chairs. The breakfast area is lovely and the breakfast is superb with an excellent choice, to cater for all needs and all freshly prepared with copious amounts of juices/coffee if required. ||In the evenings the grounds are beautifully lit with lanterns and lights and there is a lovely larger terrace area offering the use of a BBQ and honestly bar.||There are no shops or eateries within walking distance so a car is required to get around. There is a local golf course just off the main road and lots more nearby. RV is located off the beaten track and it can be a little confusing to find (especially after dark). Avoid the Sat Nav directions and stick with Google Maps and you’ll be fine. ||There was a little bit of us that wanted to keep this secret but we have recommended RV to all our family and friends so I hope that we can get a room the next...
Read moreWe loved our stay at Roca Verde. All of the positive reviews on here are definitely justified. |The home overall is beautiful with stunning views across Malaga and beyond. We stayed in the smallest room in the place but it was comfortable and the bathroom was great. |Sandra and Juan are wonderful hosts. They were very friendly yet professional for pur whole stay. They offered us some great ideas of places to visit.|The breakfast really made the stay. There was a huge selection of savoury and sweet pastries, plus fresh fruit, bread and meats and cheeses. We were never rushed and were often told off for finishing breakfast too quickly!!|There is a bus stop on the main road that takes you into Alhuarin el Grande and Malaga. However, you definitely need a car as there arent any shops or bars within walking distance. But Malaga airppirt is just a 20 minute drive away and we hired a car from the airport easily.|This was a wonderful place to stay for New Year and we will...
Read moreWe were referred to Roca Verde by a friend in Alhaurin and relied solely upon his recommendation to reserve a room for five nights. It has exceeded all of our expectations for a B&B. The property itself is like a lush mountain oasis and made us both feel that we needed to reduce our sightseeing activities so that we could have time just to enjoy the serenity of the grounds. Our relatively large room (one of only four) was much like a private casita with a semiprivate patio. Guests have shared access to a large comfortably furnished living room space with a fireplace that can be lit upon request. The breakfast, which is prepared by the proprietors Sandra and Juan is served outside in good weather, was the best we have ever experienced at a B&B. An Honor Bar system makes it possible to enjoy an afternoon or evening beverage and light snack. We definitely...
