Venta la Recta — Restaurant in Alhaurín el Grande

Food was not great. I ordered the pork fillet from the lunch menu which was blunt and tough. Might not have been fresh but from frozen. However, the French fries were pretty good. Shrimp cocktail was good but not great. Dessert was good but I would not have wanted to pay 5 Euros for a bit of custard with biscuits and cinnamon on top if it would not have been included in the 3 course meal. Menu was also written in English but the waiter didn't speak any and wasn't especially friendly. I had to wait until 13:15 until the lunch menu became available which had too many choices and was not different from the normal menu. Buenos precios del menú, lo he visto económico, comida buena, no tengo quejas. Para almorzar bien si te pilla de paso, ero no me desplazaria especificamente para comer ahi. Eché de menos algunas cosas más especiales como poder pedir conejo, rabo de buey o algo un poco mas elaborado y a la carta ya que no soy mucho de menú, entiendo que en epoca de covid no puedan ofrecer comida a la carta y por eso sólo te presentan el menú. Los callos buenos y los calamares estaban de rechupete y pinta de estar hechos ahi (no como en muchos sitios que te los dan prefabricados), el cóctel de gambas muy bueno y con bastantes gambas y piña lo cual me gustó, la salsa rosa buena y el pan bueno, de miga agradable, fresco, blandito y con costra crujiente. Las patatas fritas eché de menos que fueran mas del tipo caseras, me supieron a patatas industriales y muy grasas por dentro. Pero en general se come bien. Terraza bonita, agradable y amplia, hay aparcamiento amplio detrás del restaurante. Trato amable, atentos y rápidos. Servicios limpios, con papel higiénico de buena calidad, jabón demasiado liquido, me dió la imresion de mistol aguado, grifo demasiado pequeño y mal colocado en el lavabo lo cual dificulta lavarse las manos. Servicio amplio que es un plus, entra una silla...

Price quality wise I don't think this is the best place I've ever been. The food was ok but nothing special. The service also did not make up for this. On top of that there was a bouncy castle with lots of screening kids. Not a place I will go back to...
