I stayed at this hotel last week on business travel, my usual hotel was full in this area so was intrigued as to what might be available at this hotel.||I booked a double room non smoking. Upon checking in I went up to the second floor to my room and immediately the doors to the lift opened the place was in complete darkness, 4 steps along the corridor and some of the lights sprang into life but still very poorly lit.||I opened the room door and the smell of stale smoke hit me and took my breath away. I returned to the front desk and was provided another room, this was no better the stench of smoke was so great. The bed was so uncomfortable full of lumps and the pillows were like rocks, The ceiling in the bathroom was falling down in areas and the hair dryer on the wall was broken and hanging down. ||First night, trying to get some sleep was impossible, a rampant group of Japanese tourists were roaming the corridors outside, banging and crashing around and generally making so much noise i could not sleep on the one time I tried to communicate with them to get some peace it was apparent that they could not understand and continued to get even louder.||Breakfast next morning, I was ushered into a side room near reception as the main restaurant was accommodating the large group of tourists. THe selection of foods available was appalling and I left with a banana and an apple, OK if you like to eat cake for breakfast.||Unfortunately it was the same the next 2 nights and breakfast did not improve either.||Wifi in the hotel is completely a non event, when travelling away I keep in contact with family by Skype and this was not even registering let alone able to connect. I went to ask at reception if there was a better zone for Wifi users and just got a look of disdain from the receptionist as I was interrupting her from watching a movie on line, probably why the Wifi is so poor as she was using the internet connection for streaming movies.||The Gym was an absolute joke I have better equipment at home, so dont think you will get a work out, Pool is on the roof and freezing cold so dont pack your trunks.||Couldnt wait to get out of there and as such will never grace this hotel again with...
Read moreI just stayed one night, found it quite easy to park my car free of charge near the hotel. Otherwise the hotel garage is only charging 5€ which is quite cheap for Spain. The room was ok, reasonable in size, the bed was comfortable for my taste (a bit hard, maybe) bathroom also quite large with a bathtub. Hot water worked fine and I got a good sleep. The breakfast next morning was a bit por, to say the truth. There was no fresh bread, just packed toastbread, a few sweets and a low-cost orange juice. In case you wanted the real thing of orange juice they expect you to pay extra 2€ for it.||The coffee-machine, however, had all the varieties of coffee in normal and decaffeinated version, which I found positive.||The hotel is in the little town of Almussafes, with not much exciting things to do. Within ten or fifteen minutes walking distance there is a square with a couple for bars and restaurants, mostly frequented by locals. ||If again in the area, I would stay at this hotel again, even if you might expect something more from a four star hotel. But then again, the price I paid was also far away from a...
Read more4 * hotel in Almussafes, near Valencia. Staff is very friendly and helpfull, the rooms are nice and clean, good beds. The free wifi is really good. You can park in the hotel garage for €5 per day. A large, open, parkinglot is just outside the hotel, probably free parking. The rooms however are noisy, you can hear your neighbours talk or cough. The breakfast is not what you would espect from a four star hotel. Booking.com claims it cost you 9 euro's each. Only the exellent coffeemachine makes it worthwhile. Although you will find most things you like, it lacks luxury, no scrambked eggs, no fresh juice ,that's what makes the difference. Pool, sauna and such are closed, due to the season and covid. Restaurant is closed but might open soon. I think it will re-open in the season. The bar is closed, there are no coffee or tea facilities in the room, you can get coffee from a vending machine near the reception. This hotel is great if you are booking 2 or 3 nights, 20 minutes from Valencia and airport, near the national park of albufera and a 20 minute drive to the...
