We stayed for a week in early March at the Alqueria del Pilar farmhouse. We received a very warm welcome from Maria and despite the fact that she does not speak much English (and we speak absolutely no Spanish!) Maria managed to explain to us where we'd find everything. The only thing missing was a kettle! Free Wifi was included which was reliable enough to download films (there was no English TV). The farmhouse has been beautifully restored and to be honest the pictures on the website don't really do it justice. Our apartment was very warm and in fact we ended up turning the radiators off. We also had a lovely wood burning stove and were provided with a basket of logs, but sadly it wasn't cold enough to use them! What we did love about the location of this farmhouse was we were able to do both hill walks and mountain biking straight from the door, and it was also only 10 minutes walk to the restaurants in the village. Read moreStayed here 3 nights. Apartment spacious, clean, really well appointed, equipped and decorated. All facilities provided, terrace pool lovely too. Several areas for outside dining plus use of large BBQ on terrace. Host Maria so helpful despite our appalling lack of any useful Spanish words or phrases :(. Good location on edge of town overlooking valley yet near to all town facilities and shops.||Only down side, the free WiFi was hopeless, we gave up waiting for it to respond and went out to enjoy the countryside instead!! Has been mentioned to owner so by the time you go there, I expect it will have been upgraded, if you so desperately need...
Read moreThese apartments are situated in beautiful gardens, in delightful surroundings with great views.||The apartments themselves are spotlessly clean, large, comfortable and very well equipped, with excellent facilities for simply relaxing.||The hosts, Maria and Rafa, are delightful and very helpful.||My only word of caution, and this is NOT connected to the apartments, is, to be prepared to self cater if you visit outside of high season. The bars and restaurants in Banyeres keep "interesting"...
