Yurtas La Veleta — Hotel in Barbate

One of the few remaining places on earth where you can listen the hole night to the beautiful chirping of the nightingale: We spend wonderful three weeks with our three little children in a big yurt of La Veleta. The hole day the kids explored the surrounding nature and found insects, snakes, birds, sand, stones, water, mud and trees for climbing - or briefly: everything they needed. Kitchen, bathroom and community places are functional and nice. And the hosts are very, very friendly and helpful. We hope La Veleta stays as rural, as sustainable and as dark in the nights as it is right now - and we will love to...

My friend and I stayed a week and a half in this amazing paradise! We biked and drove everywhere in the area conveniently but really enjoyed staying on the property relaxing in the hammocks, meeting other guests and lounging in the garden. Marina and Cal are a wonderful couple who have put a lot of care into the property and ensure it is comfortable as well as clean with many thoughtful details for guests. A secret green oasis so close to the beach, I spent a very healing week here. Amazing hosts Callum y Marina are so friendly, welcoming and funny! They recommended so many wonderful spots and have great surfer intel. The yurts are gorgeous and there’s a great kitchen set up, the place has a lovely community feeling.
