STUDIOS OR PRIVATE ROOMS — Hotel in Barcelona

The place was okay for the price. The rooms are tiny and mine didn’t have a window, but I have to say everything was extremely clean. The room also had some decoration, a comfortable bed, a big TV, and good AC.

Communication with the host, however, was terrible. I honestly thought it was a scam at first because he didn’t answer my calls and only replied at the very last minute before check-in. His responses were short and came across as impolite.

The neighborhood is working-class, with many different cultures and ethnicities. I never felt unsafe, but it’s far from touristy. The connection is excellent though—the metro station is right next to the house, which was also very quiet.

Overall, it’s a good budget option, but the experience could have been much better with clearer communication. I probably won’t come back and would rather pay a bit more to stay closer...

Would give 1 star but im being fair, the owner messaged me through booking so i didn’t see his messages and then wanted me to pay a fee, location chaotic, we couldn’t even find the place, tried to contact multiple times on multiple platforms (calling 3 times through the phone, whatsapp, and messaged through booking) and got no response. We haven’t slept for over 30 hours and wanted to check in early but still called during check out hours so they were definitely not sleeping. We desperately wanted somwhere to go to at least put our stuff away so we stayed elsewhere and had to spend twice as much...

CUIDADO ESTAFA!!!!

Experiencia muy negativa. Realicé una reserva con tres meses de antelación a través de una plataforma conocida. La reserva estaba correctamente confirmada y pagada, con el correspondiente correo de confirmación.

El día de la llegada, intentamos contactar por teléfono para confirmar y siempre saltaba el contestador. Más tarde, recibimos un mensaje por WhatsApp solicitando nuestros datos y la plataforma utilizada. Al facilitarlos, nos respondieron que no trabajan con esa plataforma y que no podían ayudarnos. Hicieron caso omiso a todo lo que les indicábamos, incluido el correo de confirmación y el código de reserva, y no ofrecieron ninguna solución.

Como consecuencia, en pleno 15 de agosto en Barcelona, nos quedamos sin alojamiento, con precios desorbitados y sin ningún tipo de asistencia por parte del establecimiento.
