Mas Teixidor is a singular place, with exceptional people running it, who have turned an almost lifelong project into a wondefully welcoming world of nature, style and comfort. Every single corner is rich with detail and care, as are the meals, superbly supplied by their own crops and farm. Each room is unique and special, and decorated and furnished with love and detail. Sitting outside the main tourist centers, and with a very limited number of rooms and guests this becomes a true holiday retreat for rest and tranquility as needed, but very well connected to sea and mountain as desired. No wonder that many demanding travelers are already choosing Mas Teixidor now, less than half a year after its opening. I can't wait to visit again, and enjoy the special atmosphere and life tempo that one finds there, which in the lack of a better word I would summarize as: health. Wonderful relaxed stay! Friendly owner and staff. Loved the 3 dogs who were happy to be stroked but we're not bothered by people. Saw the cat! A spacious building with shared library room, pool room and children's toy and play room, amongst others. Space between each bedroom so a sense of privacy. Free covered outdoor parking. All beautifullly and interestingly restored. Lots of wood. The bedroom and our bathroom was clean, comfortable and cool with a ceiling fan that kept it cool. Loved it. Radiators for winter! It was an easy drive from Girona airport and good to have place to relax after our flight from Helsinki. Good to go for a swim too; an outdoor pool with beautiful views. Great breakfast and they are aware of dietary requirements; we are vegetarian and it wasn't a problem. Caldes Malavella is the town 20 mins walk away and is well worth the visit. We have just spent 5 days at Mas Teixidor and it exceeded our expectations in all areas. The building is filled with little details which provide intrigue to history of the building. It has been lovingly restored to a beautiful standard. There are many places to explore, quiet corners to sit and places to keep yourself entertained. Everywhere is extremely clean and well cared for. Our room was lovely, with everything we needed. We ate at Mas Teixidor for 4 nights, the cooking is amazing! Home cooked with love and generous portions. The breakfasts too were superb with selections of meats, cheeses, cake, bread, cereals and fruit. What made our stay so special, was the people.
