My wife and I booked a half-board stay at this hotel on strength of its proximity to two trails we were interested in hiking, as well as the attractive discount on offer in January and February. We had glorious weather (mid teens Celsius and sunny) and two spectacular hikes, the second from a trailhead within easy walking distance of the hotel. The area looks very promising and far less crowded than some of the better-known hill-country and mountainous hiking areas closer to Barcelona.

The desk staff were cheerful and helpful, the dining room staff a bit less so, perhaps because of under-staffing.

The room was spacious and very well heated, with a king-sized bed and a lovely pine ceiling. As a room for couples, it could be improved if the window were visible from the bed (it's at a 90% angle) and if the view were to the east, over the lake, or to the south, towards the brutally beautiful Montsec range. Instead, we got the highway headed north. The bathroom was not as well appointed as the sleeping area and suffered from bright fluorescent lights, though water pressure was very good. The walls were thinnish, but not scandalously so.

The buffet-style half-board and full-board dining room features some very good local cuisine, especially the rice dishes. Some promising local sausages and white beans, as well as the wild mushrooms, were less flavourful than we'd expected, and frankly cold, though we arrived for dinner promptly at 8:30. The only draw-back at breakfast was weak coffee from a temperamental coffee machine, made from a powdered mix rather than espresso of any kind. The coffee would have gone down a bit better if it had been hotter.

All in all, very good value for money in a very attractive area, and real potential for five stars (I wanted to give it three and a half) if a few...

What a find! Our second night stop over on the way to SE Spain. Managed to arrive mid-afternoon as such had a light lunch and a few drinks pool side. The pool is substantial and one can properly swim in what is a safe environment as 'life-guard' on duty. |The hotel provides plenty of choice of where to eat on-site, café bar or restaurant. The café bar is very pleasant and chilled, this is where we ate. Everything was competively priced both drinks and food. |The bedrooms, were clean & well presented. Excellent walk-in shower in the en-suite. |The view from the pool side is across the lake & onto the mountains, picturesque. The bedrooms facing the pool have great views of the lake & area. In high season their is plenty of activities such as canoeing, water pedal cycles , boat hire etc all available adjacent to the hotel.|Breakfast was presented via a menu, ranges from continental to cooked. I would recommend the omelets. |Parking is on-site in a large open area adjacent to the hotel and I understand paid parking is available for secure underground parking.|Overall , a tremendous hotel we had a great stay and given the location would try and have an extra night in order to take in the scenery and enjoy more time in the...

The landscape around this hotel is pretty stunning, lake near by, nice mountain views.

BUT…..

UNFORTUNATELY for us, our room was located on the road side, which is a nightmare if you like both fresh air and peace and quiet. It is actually extremely loud as there are so many cars, trucks passing by all day, even at night. So sleeping with the doors open at night was impossible for us. We actually didn’t get great restful sleep the last few nights, damn shame!

The food here for breakfast and dinner buffet was pretty poor quality.

But on our last day we ate at the cafe part we’re the pool was as a final meal before we left and it was a good meal with our waiter being extremely nice and friendly which was super nice!

The staff were nice and helpful in the hotel, zero complaints!

The pool is a nice size, relaxing.

Room we found clean, cozy.

There are plenty of nice hikes and walks around the region.

If you do choose to go with this hotel, remember to try get a room on the other side of the hotel away from the road side - I can’t guarantee that you won’t hear any cars…but it could be more quiet then our...

We were a group of 3 friends, making out way back to Barcelona from a 6 day hike in the Pyrenees. We wanted a place we could relax and rest before going back to the city, and found this little jam. The location is good if you need a break from the 4 hour drive between the 2 places, but there's not much around except for the lake and some nearby small towns. Service: very good, we got a friendly welcome and with a smile 😊 Rooms: we booked the deluxe room with a view, which was great! We had the corner room on the 2nd floor and had a huge balcony with a view of the lake and the pool. The bed was very comfortable, the shower was big and enjoyable, and there were even 2 small water bottles for free. For the price, this is a great place if you want to escape and simply rest and relax for 1 or 2 nights 🌛

The staff were all nice and friendly, rooms were a good size, clean and modern. The view from our balcony was lovely so I'd recommend a lake side view room. The mean which was included in our half board was the best of all. I ordered the Tunna tartar which was fantastic and fresh, the best roast Chicken ive ever eaten and great deserts. Also included were some free snack, good bottle of wine and bread. The breakfast next day was worth every penny too. Great selection of tea and I especially enjoyed the free video arcade and things to do in the games room!
