El Molinet — Hotel in el Castell de Guadalest

We just love this place! The new managers have done so much work to improve the facilities- not only is it situated in a beautiful valley but it now has a pool and children's play area. The pool is fantastic- we all went in it every day.|||| Everything is well maintained and the place is so peaceful. There is an outdoor area for each apartment to sit out and barbecue facilities. The old mill building is full of character and has thick walls and well maintained mosquito mesh on the windows so no bites in the house and it stays relatively cool. You get a nice breeze on the terrace. ||||There is a lovely track by the Rio de Guadalest that you can walk, run or cycle on. We went every morning. The apartment has everything you need, no air conditioning but that’s bad for the planet anyway and they have fans and if you open the windows a breeze blows through most days. ||||We loved it and will 100% recommend and will be returning. We dropped down to this beautiful place today, with the intention of speaking to the owner about booking a group of 20 hikers in for a week next May. Unfortunately, as soon as we parked in the small car park, we were accosted by a member of staff who told us in no uncertain terms that it was private property and we were trespassing. We tried to explain that we were just out for an hour walking, seeing if the area was suitable and intended to return for a possible beer or two with the owner to discuss next years trip. I appreciate there could have been a slight language cross over, but despite at least a dozen free parking spaces we were told we were not welcome. Such a shame, we won't be booking next year, a pleasant enough lady, very polite and we had a lovely few hours walking to Guadalest but will be looking for...

Excelente ubicación a tiro de piedra de Guadalest, que aparece por las ventanas como si de un cuadro se tratase junto a la sierra. Cerca de las fuentes del Algar, Altea y Calpe. Este antiguo molino hecho apartamentos totalmente equipados, independientes y con distintos tamaños, ofrecen por sus prestaciones pasar unas vacaciones ideales. A la vera del río y sobre una fuente natural, a la sombra y cobijo de un enorme aguacatero, dispone de una reconfortante piscina para refrescarse tras cualquier ruta, y de una barbacoa para disfrutar en compañía cualquier noche, bajo ese cielo lleno de estrellas. Rodeado de cultivos de nísperos, cítricos y aguacates con la música del río, hacen de este, un paraje entre las montañas, único para desconectar, un remanso de paz. El apartamento tiene sábanas y toallas súper agradables, como para sentirte como en casa. Cama y sofás muy cómodos. Dispone de Netflix y chimenea, que por ser septiembre no hemos disfrutado, por lo que será nuestra excusa para volver con el frío y para disfrutar de los aguacates 🥑😁. La familia que lo gestiona súper amable, cercana y de confianza. Personas de palabra. Te abren las puertas de su privilegiada finca para que te sientas a gusto. Fuimos con nuestra perrita, que en todo momento estuvo muy contenta y cómoda junto a Boby, el perrito súper sociable de los dueños. Sin duda recomendaría y seguro que repetimos.
