This is indeed a very good and well run hotel with much thought and attention given to the needs of guests. Rooms 1-6 are on the first floor and have a sea view, rooms 7-8 on the same floor and 9-10 on the ground floor. We were in room 2 which has a bigger but still secluded balcony. Room was fine and the bathroom is stylish. Breakfasts were brilliant with little pots of scrambled egg and bacon and a wide array of delicious pastries and cakes. It's possible to eat and drink at the hotel in the evening on a self-service basis with a selection of vacuum-packed dishes in the fridge: an excellent concept but a bit awkward in practice to work out what and where everything is without assistance (which was available up until 9pm). Three small niggles: 1) The view is slightly marred by a factory built in a small valley between the property and the sea 2) the concrete construction is not well sound-proofed and it was a bit disconcerting to hear a toilet being flushed only a few centimetres from my pillow and 3) at times there was a distinct smell of sewage on the...

I loved this place! I cannot image a better place to stay if you visit this part of the country. The staff (owners) are very nice and very helpful. The location could not be better (if you have a car and like the countryside). Our room was very nice although a bit crowded since we were three people sharing a room for two. Worked out fine. ||||We loved the cosy corner with the bar offering good wines, beers etc and some food. We bought cheese, sausages, olives etc at the local markets and brought back for lovely evening snacks on the terrace overlooking the wineyards and the sea..||We spent four nights here, visiting San Sebastian and other places during our stay, but Getaria got the biggest part of our hearts. Getaria is a small town with plenty of good restaurants, the Balanciago museum, two nice beaches. We picked figs, walnuts and other fruits on our walk down to the town (abt 20 minutes)...||I would love...

why stay here? because you want to bask in all that is beautiful in spain without the stress of being in the middle of any stress. perched on a hilltop, overlooking the water, the town of getaria, the rolling hills and the private vineyard. lounging on our patio watching the world go by. eating a wonderful breakfast on the outdoor patio, having a snack in the kitchen instead of driving to eat in town, walking around getaria, driving the coast from bilbao to san prudentzio. then being able to watch the sun pass by and out of view. all from this wonderful hotel. a lady at the desk named marina was especially warm and helpful and i believe she should be nominated for sainthood after not getting upset by my losing 3 keys. if you are ever in the area of the bay of biscay and do not want to spend the big dollars for a stay in san...

Beautiful hotel. Family owned. Very friendly owners. Super cosy and authentic. Rooms are spacy with little balconies. The view is stunning. Comfortable beds and well organized bathrooms. Breakfast is superb! Don’t miss it. Generally the “dining room” space is great. You have some very high quality produce for breakfast. The family has vineyards around the hotel, so next time we do need to test the wine! 15 min walk from Getaria. Rural ambience around. Great for a break from everything.

A hotel that feels like a modern home. We stayed room 5 and we loved it because it has a private terrace overlooking the ocean and vineyards. Friendly staff who speaks good English. Good breakfast. Kitchen is stuffed with premade meals, drinks and bread for a purchase for those who like to be cozy in the hotel instead of going out for dinner to a restaurant. One thing that I didn’t like was a bathtub was situated in the bed room. But overall it is highly recommend.
