Rickaty Lodge B&B — Hotel in Ingenio

It’s a good place to stay if you land late or need to catch an early flight! Small B&B with 3 rooms run by a friendly British couple. Close to the airport but cannot walk the way. Either a taxi or the Lodge owners offer shuttle service one way for 10€. Taxi for one person about the same. Or local bus number 1 and walk. Room I stayed in was spacious with a big double bed, TV, bathroom and towels. Bed was comfortable and didn’t hear any noise from planes landing or taking off. The B&B is like a home away from home, with a self service kitchen where you make your coffee/tea and use what you need from the fridge and cupboards for your breakfast. Kitchen is well equipped: fruit, cereal, breads, pastries, milk, juice, ham, cheese, yogurt etc. As there is nothing in the area they also have a small menu of their own home made cooking. There is a roof top terrace with a bar and jacuzzi (jacuzzi open summer times) where you can get a drink or something to eat. You can also smoke there. Price quality ratio matches for the area. I stayed for two nights here towards end of Jan 2023. I booked directly on the guest house’s own website which was great value. The airport pick up was executed perfectly, as was all communication. This is a family run establishment of just three rooms. They were perfect for my stay. My room , “ València “ was spotlessly clean and well apportioned. Everything has been thought of , hair dryer , plenty of towels , large bottles of shower wash etc. The bed was super comfy , and of 5 star hotel quality. As I arrived around 6 pm I made use of the upstairs bar , and seating area. There a quaint “crows nest” look out spot up a set of steps too. I had gone made Shepard’s pie from the great value menu. I found this a perfect place to stay and a great alternative to expensive hotels. Nothing was too much trouble during my stay. I was offered a pick up service which was on time , and ready for arrival. Despite getting to the hotel at 2130, food was still available and beer was accompanied with ice cold glasses. There is a nice outdoor relaxing area with a hot tub and a crows nest to view the airport plane movements. The breakfast was a nice touch. Also the room was super clean and functional.
