La Oliva Inn is a real lucky find! The owners Curro and Gabi have designed the place with a lot of attention to detail and hospitality. Everything is super neat and clean, nicely decorated and totally cozy. My time there was not enough to discover all the beautiful corners in the garden: Hammocks and sitting areas in sun and shade, with a light breeze or protected from the wind... a small herb bed, a barbecue, a pool, aloe vera for sun protection or sunburn, and also the room and the kitchen lack nothing. Even a gym mat can be found in the closet, a small bialetti for each room in the kitchen, which is also otherwise very well equipped. Curro has taken a lot of time to talk to me and make me feel at home, whether at the welcome drink or in between, and it is really noticeable that the well-being and satisfaction of the guests are extremely important to him. I was there as solo traveler and without a car - the bus to the coast and to the artists' village of Lajares passes every hour and runs into the evening (22 or 23 clock), in the village of La Oliva there is a mini supermarket, a bakery and a sweet kiosk for the bocadillo in between. 😉 Perfect for relaxing, but also a great base for ventures in all corners of the north of Fuerteventura. I can recommend it without...
Read moreI absolutely loved the La Oliva Inn and can only recommend it to fellow travelers. Upon my arrival I received a beautiful welcome drink with edible flowers and a jug of water with different kinds of fruits. I stayed in the Bali room, a gorgeous room with private rooftop terrace and the most beautiful wooden ceiling I’ve ever seen. The atmosphere was wonderful. The rooms and all facilities were very clean. Curro and Gaby were very helpful and very friendly. I felt they were always checking on me and making sure I was happy. I was invited to Sangria by the fireplace and always made to feel at home. The kitchen was very well equipped and also very clean and fully functional. The house has a huge living room and large garden in front of the house. There are different spaces to eat and relax and always a spot with sun or no sun. La Oliva is a quiet and local town in Fuerte. There are supermarkets near by; a fantastic Italian restaurant and all amenities needed. During my stay I went diving, surfing and to the beach. The town has the perfect location, as you can reach all the beaches and other towns very quickly. If you’re looking for an authentic experience in a typical Canarian town and a beautiful Canarian house with amazing hosts, then this is the...
Read moreSo relaxing!! This lovely place is an oasis of calm. We stayed for 8 nights, for some much needed R&R and we got the peace we so needed. As soon as you enter, the place is relaxed and homely. Multiple seating areas, hammocks, sun beds by the pool, and quirky decor, we loved eating and chilling outside There are four rooms, we had ‘Tahiti’ the largest room, loads of space, plenty clothes storage and big comfy bed. And absolutely spotlessly clean!! Shared kitchen - very well organised and clean. Small but adequate fridge, and cupboard with own colour-coded cutlery and cleaning materials. More cupboards full of everything you could possibly need. Gabi and Curro were wonderful hosts, so friendly and helpful, with lots of information provided - including clear instructions and photos how to find the place. We knew nothing was too much trouble, but we were also left to relax. And Gabi’s Christmas decorations were amazing!! 😊 About 30 mins drive from airport. Plenty to explore in the area around and about. We birdwatched and toured most days. Good roads, easy to get around. You need a car. Autoreisen were good, and cheap. Such a contrast to the coastal resorts, we are so-oo glad to have found this fabulous place. We...
