Vista Nevada — Hotel in La Peza

This is a true hidden gem. You will find it on a service area at a junction of the A92 motorway, amongst lorry parks and petrol stations, but don't be put off by this. The hotel is sound proofed and we never heard noise from lorries outside.||||The hotel is quite small but well presented and the staff could not be more welcoming. The receptionist, come coffee maker, come cook come everything was a real power house of the whole hotel, she was certainly a very good hostess to everybody, tourist and lorry drivers alike. We had an evening meal that was designed to ensure we were well and truly sated at the end of it. It was standard fare but presented so well and will a conviviality that made it all the more special. Notably the outgoing nature of the staff made the bar feel welcoming and homely, the locals happily chatting to us and making us feel comfortable, sadly something not always found in small Spanish bars.||||The room was fairly small but furnished well and adequate for our one night stay. Toilet and bathroom were equally well appointed and suitable for a short stay.||||as the name of the hotel suggest there was an excellent view of the snow capped Sierra Nevada mountains. There is also a view over the Natural Park towards a large popular lake.||Breakfast was the standard Spanish fare of toast, jam, coffee and fruit juice, but again more than adequate and serve||ds with a smile and hospitality||Not only would we recommend this hotel to those needing an overnight stay or two on the drive to the south, we intend to stay every time we are...

Warm shower, good bed and horrible breakfast pretty much sums it up.||||We decided to try and find a small and cozy town to spend a night of our roadtrip.||Boy did we fail. Yes Darro was a small city but there was nothing. this hotel is also not situated in that city but right of the road which makes it easy if youre on the way through like us but thats also the only reason youd want to stay here.||||For breakfast we ordered fried eggs. We got oil, salt and underneath were some eggs.No joke. There was literally more salt than egg. Very nice hotel-motel. I stayed here for 2 days - I am a truck driver and I needed a receipt for a 45-hour break outside the cab of the truck. Single room with bathroom. It takes a while before the water in the bathroom is warm. Acceptable price Breakfast is included in the price. The service was very nice and helpful. I was served by two nice women.
