Stayed here as an overnight stop. We didn’t do any research in advance but we were getting tired and had pulled off the motorway to look at Hotel options and we saw a sign to Hotel. It was a short drive up a track but when we got there it looked lovely. Staff were helpful even though their English was limited. We checked in and were shown to our room on the first floor. It was large, extremely comfortable.Spotlessly clean with an en suite and TV which we didn’t use. Shower was easy to use with loads of hot water. We went down to the restaurant for dinner which was excellent. The menu was all in Spanish and there were some choices we didn’t recognise even with Google translate but we managed to work out what most options were. I chose Duck Breast in Home made fruit sauce served on soft mashed potato and asked for it to be cooked slightly longer rather than served pink and they did this perfectly. Jaki has a stuffed Chicken breast that tasted amazing. There was a herb in the stuffing that gave it an incredible flavour. For desert I had Cheese cake with Violet jelly. The Cheese cake actually tasted cheesy which is a first for me. But the violet Jelly was incredible. Tasted like those little sweets my Gran used to carry in her handbag. Parma Violets? My partner had two glasses of red wine and a coffee and a bread pudding with home made ice cream that was as good as anything we’ve had anywhere! We slept really well. The next morning we had a Coffee in the bar before we set off on the last of our journey.
We enjoyed our stay and Would definitely recommend this place.! It cost €65 a night which isn’t a cheap hotel but it’s not really expensive. The restaurant was excellent and the food was good. Staff polite and professional. The Hotel is conveniently situated just off the busy road but we heard no noise. We did hear a train passing by some time during the night, but it didn’t disturb us.

Read moreUpon arrival the hotel looks beautiful, full of character and very inviting. The lady on reception spoke good English and took us to our room. We had booked a quadruple room with a double bed and two singles on a mezzanine. The room was clean but very dull. The real downside is that it has no air conditioning which knew before arrival, however we would expect either a fan or windows with mosquito nets, unfortunately there were neither. |We booked a table for the evening which we believed was going to be in the restaurant inside, having sat outside in the afternoon for a drink and being hounded by a considerable amount of flies, the thought of eating outside did not appeal. However it transpired that evening meals are served outside, under a canopy but still outside and not a fly zapper in sight. It is one of the most uncomfortable meals I have ever had. We decided to get it over with as quickly as possible so opted for main courses only. Now I have read many reviews about the food and can only deduce that the usual chef must not have been there as the meals were not good quality and definitely well over priced, out of the 4 meals we had, only 1 was adequate. I wanted to complain but my parents, who are in their 70s didn’t want the fuss.|Breakfast was included in the room price but was hardly worth bothering with, although I must say the staff were extremely polite and helpful.|There are much better hotels along this route and I would...
Read moreOn our drive back to Spain, we found this hotel after the hotel in Teruel where we normally stay was fully booked. It is situated around 15 minutes from Teruel and only a couple of minutes from the motorway exit. The staff were very friendly and even carried our bags to the room, as there was no lift. We booked a superior room which was spacious, nicely decorated and had a good shower room. We were very impressed with the underfloor cooling system which kept the room very comfortable in the heat and we had a very good nights sleep. |The food was excellent and very good value. |We will certainly recommend it and look forward to...
