We arrived to a locked up hotel, eventually got attention of a very pleasant smiley lady who checked us in. She immediately locked the exit. You needed keys to get in or out of the hotel! ||||I booked directly with the hotel (not the hostel part which was closed) so I was very cross to find both the hotel bar and restaurant both closed for annual holiday on a Friday night, and this had not been mentioned in the email communication from the hotel. Had I known I would not have booked as an onsite bar and restaurant was the reason for our choice of this hotel/town.. ||||Our room had several bulbs not working and a large crack in the bathroom mirror, Bathroom so small you had to squeeze past basin to get to the loo.||||Other hotel guests were also directed to the bar/restaurant opposite but that was closed for food, but open for drinks only that night, so in the rain we went into town which had v little offering restaurant wise.||||Good point is the hotel has a carpark adjacent. It is right by a roundabout and...

Nothing too much trouble.||Lovely quiet room at the back with views to the hills, plenty of wardrobe space, comfortable twin beds and a recently refurbished high quality bathroom with nice towels and toiletries to match.||Draft Mahon only €3 a pint, an exceptional dinner of three generous courses and complimentary tapas starters all for €12 and a bottle of decent red €7. Most of the decent restaurants in town are either closed (like many shops and businesses) or not inviting. ||We were wowed by the quality, value and wish the charming owner every success. A ten minute walk to the town...

My main course was chewy, odd tasting spare ribs with half-fried, soggy french fries that still stuck together. Last but not least, the flan tasted burnt and only burnt. I paid €20 for the abomination I just described to you. The best things about this restaurant were bread and wine. Otherwise a...
