Restaurante O Petisco — Restaurant in Mondoñedo

During our visit to Bosque de Silva in Mondoñedo, we were awestruck by the lush beauty of the forest, which was adorned with a multitude of indigenous, native, and autochthonous trees. The air was filled with a refreshing scent of nature, and the ambiance was serene, making it a perfect place for a relaxing stroll with our furry son, "Willy."

After our delightful forest adventure, we set out to find a pet-friendly restaurant terrace to enjoy a scrumptious lunch. We stumbled upon this charming eatery that warmly welcomed us and our beloved Willy. The waiting staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and one waiter, the owner's son whose name we unfortunately didn't catch, stood out with his professional and helpful demeanor.

We started our meal with some mouthwatering grilled vegetables that were bursting with flavor. The Zamburińas, a local seafood delicacy, proved to be an absolute delight with their unique taste, leaving us wanting more. However, the highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the full fried octopus, which was cooked to perfection and left us thoroughly impressed.

The restaurant's service was top-notch, and the bill came as a pleasant surprise - a true bargain for the fantastic experience we had. We left the place with our stomachs satisfied, our furry companion content, and our hearts filled with joy. If you're ever in the area, we wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant for a memorable...

The food was tasty, so I would normally recommend. However I had an unfortunate event with one waiter. He brought me the food and let all the food (grilled meat on a spike) fall on me. Unfortunately things like this can happen. However, the waiter picked-up the food from me and served us the same meat. My mistake, I didn't complain. My shirt (which was white) is now full of food marks. The waiter avoided coming to my table after that moment. No type of apology by the waiter or the restaurant. And when I asked for the bill, he took long time coming with it. When I was paying with card, he turned his back and did not thank, apologize, no kind of interaction. Again, incidents can happen with anyone. However how we behave afterwards is really important. Really bad experience with the waiter and...

No es la primera vez que visitaba este templo de la buena gastronomía gallega (ni tampoco será la última!)..

Y en esta ocasión ,después de haber disfrutado de varios platos de su extensa carta en otras ocasiones que visité O Petisco..quise improvisar y lo dejé en manos del camarero el decidir 2 platos que él me recomendara: uno debería ser de pescado y el otro de carne..

El camarero ,muy simpático me sonrió y me recomendó PULPO FRITO y SECRETO...

Y a pesar de que vi que todas las mesas estaban ocupadas,tardó muy poco en traerme los 2 platos..

Nunca había probado el.pulpo frito pero he de deciros que lamenté el no haberlo probado antes,ya que estaba delicioso..

Y que deciros del Secreto?..Ufff sin palabras!!!!

Y acompañado de un vino mencia que también me recomendó el camarero..

Un placer para los 5 sentidos,pero.no solo por la calidad y cantidad de los productos que pedi,sino de la amabilidad y profesionalidad de los camareros que a pesar de estar "hasta arriba" de trabajo no perdían las buenas formas y simpatia..

Antes de irme no pude evitar felicitar tanto a l@s camarer@s,como a las cocineras y a la pareja que regenta este templo de la mejor gastronomía gallega (y os lo dice 1 gallego que ha recorrido toda España -ya que vivo en Torremolinos-para disfrutar de 1 homenaje gastronómico como el que me he dado hoy..

Decia mi.abuelita que ES DE BIEN-NACIDO SER AGRADECIDO y por ello escribo esta reseña que espero os sirva de referente para poder disfrutar también visotr@s de este templo de la gastronomía gallega..

Para terminar,deciros que he leído alguna reseña negativa de algún cliente que también ha visitado.O Petisco y no los veo.para nada objetivos,sino al contrario,movidos por alguna extraña motivacion personal por criticar sin motivos al personal de este local o la calidad de sus platos,que para nada compartimos los cientos de clientes que han disfrutado en O Petisco y así lo hemos reseñado positivamente en nuestras reseñas...
