This is perfect Camino hotel - right on the trail and with a good restaurant right next door. When arrived we purchased some wine from the owners, sat outside in the beautiful garden enjoyed the views of the ocean below while being entertained by their robo-mower. The wonderful owners are so warm and welcoming. They don’t speak English, but with the assistance of Google translate we all could communicate. Our room (#3) was large enough to stash stuff, which has been a problem along the route. Our room was spotlessly clean. There is no air conditioning, but the room remained very cool at night. There was a light on the street just outside our window, so we slept with eyeshades. The breakfast in the morning was very good, including made to order eggs and fresh squeezed...

This was my favorite hotel on the entire Camino Portuguese. It was a beautiful hotel from the 1600's. Carmen and her cousins who run the hotel know perfection. Everything is done with detail and is amazing. Our room was fantastic, the beds were great, the shower water was steaming hot, beautiful towels. We has one window facing the Atlantic Ocean and the other window facing the beautiful cobblestone streets. Carmen walked us through everything, told us where to eat, showed us the the laundry room (with W & D--yaaay); the breakfast was done with a lot of love and care. They also have a "tea room" which is open 24 hours for everyone to use and stocked with cookies, tea/coffee. Oia is a small village and so everything is walkable. I want to come back...

Casa Puertas wasn't just a place to rest our heads after a long day exploring Oia, it was an experience in itself. The rooms were beautifully furnished, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. Comfort was key – think plush bedding and thoughtful touches that made us feel instantly at ease. But what truly stole the show was the staff. Their kindness and attentiveness went above and beyond. They were always there with a smile and a helpful hand, ensuring our stay was perfect in every way. We left Casa Puertas feeling refreshed and relaxed, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone seeking a comfortable and charming place to stay in Oia.

We spent a wonderful night here during our Camino adventure in August. Carmen welcomed us warmly and showed us our room, the nearby laundry facilities, and the adjacent garden by the seaside. The room was spacious and had a rustic charm to it. Despite the lack of AC we slept well with the window open and a cool breeze off the ocean. Breakfast was a cozy affair attended to by two lovely local ladies. My omelette was made to order, and very delicious. Absolutely recommend this property to Pilgrims passing through.

What a lovey place. It was their grandma’s home and it’s two sisters and a cousin running it. Lovely breakfast, location is superb. The only issue is I could hear conversation of loud man next room over as if he was in our room but a little soundproofing would fix that. Perfect place. I didn’t want to leave! Very attentive women. One is a taxi driver as well as her husband so if you need a ride…
