This hotel is a bit of a gem. The rooms are quite large and clean as well as being fairly functional. Beds are very comfortable (we had what looks like two singles together). Nice size balcony and a sofa in the room as well. Our air con was out for a couple of days during our stay but the hotel managed to supply a fan (I think we got the only one as it was battered) and that was a saving grace as our room was west facing and got the sun all afternoon. Generally all the staff are friendly and very helpful. If you don't speak Spanish some things can be a bit of a challenge as the reception speak varying levels of English but Google translate goes a long way. The hotel is at the top of a huge hill with a 15% incline so it's a leg destroyer especially in the heat. The cleaners are fantastic and do an amazing job the place was spotless every day. You can't get taxis in the area but you can rent the "hopp" scooters which are a godsend and cheap they are available all over town and if you're lucky someone leaves them at the top near the second hotel. The big understatement at the hotel is the food. We had quite a few meals at the hotel and each one was fantastic. Two things I'd change at the hotel:

Get rid of the plastic screen at reception it's just an inhibitor to interaction with guests and nothing else. Better advertise when facilities are open e.g. for some reason the gym isn't open in June and you have to ask to be let in and the outdoor pool was closed but no one seemed to know when it opens. Clearly show pricing for extras e.g. we were charged for the room safe but didn't know until I paid the bill on check out.

Aside from this I can easily...

Extremely Poor Experience - Living in the apartments

We had booked an apartment for 6 people with 3 bedrooms, but upon arrival, we were told it was unavailable because the air conditioning was supposedly broken. Instead, we were given two smaller apartments in the same building, but not close to each other. This completely ruined our plan to stay together as a group.

What was most bizarre was that the apartment we had originally reserved (no. 59), which was claimed to be “out of order,” was rented out to two different families during our first week. This felt like extremely poor service and very unprofessional on the hotel’s part.

The apartments we were given were worn down and looked like something from the 1980s. The quality was low, and the beds were basically like camp mattresses – very uncomfortable to sleep on. The place was also extremely noisy, and every morning between 7 and 8 AM, we were woken up by noise coming from the very apartment we had originally booked.

In general, the whole place is in desperate need of a complete renovation: The air conditioning is extremely loud The dishwasher, washing machine, and grill are all old and barely functional The interior is outdated and worn

The hotel has 4 padel courts 2 glass and 2 old concrete in very bad condition. The tennis courts are also in poor condition: nets are broken, and the surface feels like it’s made of loose stones.

Overall, the stay was a big disappointment, and we were left with a very bad impression of the place. I will not...

As we wanted the last night of our sons holiday to feel special we booked a table at the restaraunt. What a mistake. 2 steaks ordered, one with goats cheese the other with bacon/mix topping. Both arrived with goats cheese. We sent the steak back for the correct replacement. 10 minutes later it arrived with our meal half finished an on tasting the steak had been wiped of goats cheese and covered up with bacon. Again sent back. 10 minutes later the correct order arrived and cold vegetables replaced with just a plate of chips. The head waiter then tried to pacify us first with liquors that we didn’t want and then 3 glasses of cava which we also had no time for. I told her that if she wanted to make amends the least she could do would be to adjust the bill accordingly. I am the boss she stated and that’s the bill. You may have guessed we shan’t...
