Where should I start?
Overall Impression: The building had saw his best days and needs a while refurbishment. The Pool was out of order as you can see in the pictures. In general the building was built in 1992 and since then no improvement has been done.
Frontdesk: The check-in was fast and ok. The check-out also, but there the lady was not moving from her desk and only said "bye-bye". Normally you should ask your paying customer, how the stay was and so on...
Room: Oh my gosh, I don't know how to explain what I experienced... The bathroom is from 1992, no additional words needed. The bed was worn out and the mattress should be replaced... The overall design, again 1992....
Dining: I had only breakfast, the selection was Spain typically. After I have choosen my table and had already coffee I was asked to move to another table, as I was a single traveler and the table I was sitting on, was for three persons... What the heck? There where plenty of other tables empty. This makes no sense.
General: If you have the choice, avoid this hotel and spend your night or nights in one of the other beautiful Hotels or Pensions. There are some newly refurbished ones in the city. Which are worth the money instead of staying in a creepy old hotel...
Read moreSpent one night on a camino trip. Very dated hotel very 1970s. Room was clean but bathroom had tiles missing and looked jaded. Beds were comfortable. Went to dining room as we were having a set meal prepared. We arrived at dining room and told to wait till 7. Which we did. We had made a reservation at desk but they couldn't find it. They never asked our name so we were seated. Head manager was attentive and gave us our menu. We asked which menu was for us they gave us main menu. We ordered and had delicious meal. When we finished we told them our room number. It turned out hotel gave us different room than was scheduled. We should not have had main menu. The manager went bananas with the staff. We offered to pay but it was his mistake. I felt sorry for junior waiter. If manager had asked our names in first place he would have realised his mistake. It was an...
Read moreHace una semana, concretamente el pasado 15 de septiembre, haciendo el camino de Santiago, nos alojamos en ese hotel 3 parejas. Hice la reserva directamente al hotel por vía telefónica el 31 de agosto, eligiendo ese hotel porque tenía piscina, pues de no ser así así habríamos elegido otro hotel que estuviera a pie del camino y no separado como está éste. Al hacer la reserva pregunté si estaría operativa la piscina para esa fecha, a lo que se me contestó afirmativamente. Al llegar al hotel el día en cuestión después de completar la jornada del camino de ese día y con un calor de justicia, nos encontramos con que la piscina la habían ya cerrado por fin de temporada porque unos día antes había llovido y había previsiones de más lluvia, cosa “extraña” por otra parte en Galicia. Con el sofoco que llevábamos y viendo la piscina con el agua limpia y transparente y la depuradora en funcionamiento, pedimos en recepción al hacer la inscripción que nos permitieran darnos un chapuzón, lo que se nos denegó porque no había ya socorrista por fin de temporada de piscina, habiéndose adelantado su cierre por las previsiones de lluvia. Tengo que decir que nos sentimos engañados porque la reserva la realizamos precisamente por la piscina, habiéndosenos confirmado su operatividad para esa fecha. Pienso que la temporada de piscina se programa ya en primavera y el contrato al socorrista o socorristas se realiza en base a esa programación, que debe respetarse con independencia del tiempo que haga, para cumplir con los clientes. Además, y habiendo el hotel confirmado mi reserva vía e-mail a mi correo electrónico, debieron haber utilizado este mismo medio para comunicarnos las modificaciones de los servicios del hotel, dejando a nuestro criterio anular o no la reserva. Por todo ello, nos hemos sentido doblemente engañados. Las instalaciones están razonablemente bien, el trato del personal es correcto y amable y se nos permitió dejar nuestros vehículos aparcados dentro del recinto durante 5 días, estando por ello agradecidos, pero no puedo por menos que reflejar nuestra decepción por el incidente...
