If you are traveling alone or with a group of young people, like loud parties, meeting new people, you will like it here. Barbecues and different activities things are often organized here. It is good for those, who like have new friends. If personal space, silence, good sleep and comfort are important to you, then staying in this hostel for more than one night can negatively affect the nervous system due to poor acoustics, only 2 bathrooms (which leads to queues; because there are many more people), lack of hot water and other little things that add up to irritation.
This is An excellent place stay for 1 maximum 2 nights. Close to the airport (easy ir you have car!), good price, cozy courtyard, beautiful and very clean everywhere. Kindly people. There is a swimming pool outside, which is probably good in the summer. It was cold in our visit. Hospitable staff. They answer all questions and provide a lot of additional entertainment and services.
Also there is a kitchen, all kitchen utensils, seasonings, salt, teas, oils for cooking, but there are questions about organizing the space.
Also ANNOYING THING: they have only 2 toilets combined with shower are often occupied and require time to wait.
A lot of people prepare food in the kitchen. Access to the Refrigerator is organized through garbage bags and all the shelves are filled with bulky bags from other people (it would be better for each room to have its own drawer). The kitchen is spacious but there are very few surfaces and a lot of plates, the pots need replacing.
We spent 1 night in a tent and 6 nights in a room at the very end of the corridor. The tents are close to each other. You can hear your neighbors sleeping and chatting on the phone, and people having fun in the yard, cars parking. Noisy. Having moved into the room, it seemed that the noise problem had gone away since our windows overlook the parking lot and the yard are far away. It was quite quiet for a few nights. But when the weather turned bad and all the evening gatherings moved inside the building, the acoustics became simply “magical”. It's hard to fall asleep without headphones. In rooms you hear everything what is going on in kitchen area.
So, my opinion for the one night stay for young people it is ok, but for week no! And its not a very comfortable place for stay...
Read moreFor someone who had never experienced solo travel prior to my time here, I had no idea what to expect. I was someone who saw hostels as a big no no simply because it went beyond the norm and would push me out of my comfort zone. Well, I can damn well be sure that my experience here has really opened my eyes to how comfortable it really can be.
The volunteer staff were superb at accommodating and genuinely cared about the experience of everyone. Also plenty of opportunity to mix with other travellers who were all equally kind.
Rooms and beds were as you'd expect for a hostel, a place to sleep and keep your personal belongings. Plenty of wall outlets to charge your devices right next to your bed. Bed sheets cleaned regularly and no issues with bed bugs unlike horror stories seen at other hostels. They seem to be taking that issue seriously. The two bathrooms both have showers, so fighting for an opportunity to use them wasn't much of a concern.
The kitchen has adequate space for you to have a small selection of both dry and chilled goods. Well equipped too, so you will be able cook up most things. Free tea and coffee is also a nice plus. They also have a small selection of food and drinks you can buy at the reception if needs be.
The location is a little out of the way, so be prepared to walk to at least the nearest shop or bus stop if you aren't renting a car. On that point, there is plenty of parking. I had no issues with there being too many cars for the space at least during the time I was here.
The only small things I think should be done to help keep everyone's stay happy are: Fix the creaky doors, Maybe an extra table in the kitchen where people can prep food and not be shoulder bumping for space.
Overall, I can't recommend you stay here enough. I'd be surprised if anyone were to have a bad experience during...
