A fantastic stay in the Tres Reyes hotel ! Just checked out of the hotel this morning (booking done with my boyfriend name) and it was 3 perfect days. The hotel is clean, nice, has everything that you need, and room and bathroom are spacious enough to be comfortable. Didn't try the gym but went to the swimming pool which is quite nice for a little break (just don't expect to be able to swim for sport). The environment is very calm which is welcome after the buzzing life of San Sebastian. It is not located in the city center, however there are regular buses to go to the city which make the trip quite easy and not very long (take bus number 28 or 17, both will bring you to the city center at slightly different places), the trip is around 20/25 min. Good to know : last bus departs at 23h15 from city center to the hotel and uber is not working here, so do not miss it or go find a taxi :) A word about the service here which is fantastic, everybody welcome you with a smile and make everything they can to make your stay the best, there are never any problem with what you can ask and they are very open to facilitate everything. Even when we arrived later than planned an evening and that the restaurant was already empty, they still welcomed us with a smile and served us food. This make the stay on another level :) About food : the breakfast is really good with quality products, fresh orange juice, good coffee, freshly baked pancakes, eggs, bacon and so on, tasty fresh fruits.. you can also find gluten free and lactose free products. Also tried the restaurant one evening and that was delicious ! Finished everything including the bread which was also good. Wine was reasonnably priced and good too. Thank you for the nice stay, we will be back !
Good points : Rooms clean and big Clean The service Calm environment Food Well connected...
Read moreWe booked a Premium Room directly on the hotel’s website (it’s cheaper than on comparison websites) and stayed for 1 night.
The rate of accommodation in this city is unbelievably expensive, and for close to EUR200 that we paid, we only got a room, with NO breakfast and NO parking. If we want to park at the private parking lot behind the hotel, we would have to pay another EUR15 per night, according to the hotel’s website. We were glad we did not, because we were able to find a parking space at the side of the road (plenty of them, depending on the time of the day) outside the hotel.
Location of the hotel is outside the busy city, but easily accessible by Bus No.28, which stops very regularly at a bus stand not far from the hotel. We will certainly recommend taking the bus and leaving your car, because parking is difficult to find in the city (and may cost you more!)
The décor of the hotel’s common area is very elegant. The staff who checked us in were very efficient and knowledgeable about the events happening in the city during the busiest day of the year (we arrived on 15 August – the Virgin’s Day).
Our Premium Room is spacious and clean, the décor is simple and modern. All amenities worked well. There’s a kettle, mini fridge, and complimentary coffee and tea. The bathroom is also very spacious and clean, the hot shower functioned well, and basic toiletries were provided for.
We enjoyed our 1-night stay at the hotel, despite its location being outside the city. The bus is so very...
Read moreWe spent 4 nights in Hotel Tres Reyes San Sebastian, here are the upsides: beautifully designed spacious rooms ad also cleaniness is on the right level. |The reception staff is helpful and nice. |You can park in the hotel there is covered/uncovered parking option. |Bus stop is very close and well connected to downtown (there is nothing to do in this area around the hotel). ||The downside for us was the breakfast:|selection is ok-ish, I'd expect a bit more from this type of hotel but the main issue is that the staff are not really welcoming. They make you feel like you are in their way when they fill up the bread, orange juice etc.|I'd expect the guests are not there to make the staff's work easier but to have a nice relaxing breakfast - hence you need to sit where the staff assigns 1 x spot to you with cutlery etc. no questions where you would like to sit. |There is a terrace and they did not prepare any tables with tableware outside (it was nice sunny weather) - I asked if we can sit there, they said yes, but I had to bring out the tableware for it, they showed no intention to assist. |There were some reserved tables too every morning, but no information was shared what is going on with those, maybe this is how you can choose in advance where you would like...
