The guy at the front desk is extremely rude.We are currently staying at the hotel but we decided to leave earlier because what happened is unacceptable. We ordered food almost 2 hours ago because they don't have a restaurant for lunch and dinner and we kept waiting for the delivery. We called the place they said they delivered long time ago at front desk because they didn't let them in.NOBODY CALLED US from downstairs!I decided to dial 9 for reception even if we thought it would be impossible they did not tell us the food arrived.Actually it was Possible! The guy told me with a spiteful tone the food is there already 20 mins but we did not answer the phone.WHAT?The room we are in is like 10 m2 and the only thing you can do while waiting gor food is to lay down on the bed.I represent this to him and instead of apologize he told me "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT JUST LEAVE"!!!! UNBELIEVABLE.OH yes we will leave but before that i felt the need to express all my disapointment. We came for the Sant Jordy celebration and in some way he ruined it for us.I hope I worked as manager in a four star hotel in Manhattan and i would have never tollerated this kind of behaviour...
Read moreI booked a flight and hotel package from On the Beach website as I was visiting Barcelona. When I checked the location of the hotel and realised that it was not in the centre of Barcelona, I was a bit concerned about being too far out. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I got there.||||The hotel is situated just 30 minutes train ride away from Barcelona city centre. Sant Andreu de la Barca station is just a short 5 minute walk from the hotel. You can take any of the trains S4, R5, R6, S8 into Barcelona city centre.||||I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The hotel staff were very friendly and acknowledged me whenever I came in and out of the hotel.||||The cleaners came to dress the bed and clean the bathroom everyday and the hotel in general was very clean.||||Breakfast was not included in my booking but I did have it once while I was there. It was just 9 Euros and there was a great selection of food. I also had dinner at the hotel for 13 Euros for a 3 course meal. The meal was very filling and well presented.||||I would happily stay at this hotel again, I had a...
Read moreI stayed at the Hotel Catalonia in Barcelona on June 29th and 30th and had an extremely frustrating experience. At check-in, I was charged a €200 deposit for my dog, with the guarantee that it would be refunded at check-out. However, at check-out, the refund could not be processed due to an "error with the card machine".
After several days and many attempts to contact the hotel, they still have not refunded my money. They sent me a document as proof, but it's clear that it was altered and is not valid. Additionally, the original receipt indicated "No Refund," meaning the transaction was incorrectly processed from the start.
I am extremely dissatisfied with how the hotel is handling this situation. I do not recommend this hotel due to their lack of professionalism and the difficulty in resolving a problem they caused. If you want to avoid similar issues, I suggest looking for another...
