Cal Colina — Hotel in Sant Martí Sarroca

Wow, what a place! It honestly felt like seventh heaven. We travel quite a bit, but we don't often leave reviews. However, this spot is so special that we just had to share our experience. Cal Colina is a true hidden gem in Catalonia. A spacious house, two lovely terraces (both sunny and shady), a large swimming pool, an outdoor kitchen, and even a charging station for your electric car (which is a big +) ! We stayed for almost a week with a full group of 12 people — maximum capacity — so we really put the place to the test: enough plates? Glasses? Cutlery? Fridges? The answer is simple: YES, absolutely everything is there! Personally, I became a big fan of the cork puller (it’s the little things that count 😉). When you’re opening a nice chilled bottle of local white wine, it’s nice not to start a battle just to get the cork out. Cal Colina is run by Walter and Christine, who are simply wonderful hosts. They take great care of their guests, and if you know a bit about their professional background, you’ll see that this is just a natural extension — they were made for this. Warm, kind, and always happy to help. There’s also a super handy guidebook on-site with great tips for exploring the Catalonia region — perfect for planning your daily adventures. And don’t forget to ask Walter and Christine for their personal recommendations: wineries, vermouth bars, restaurants (whether you want tapas or a full dinner). Trust me — their advice is absolutely spot on. In fact, I’d even say: following their tips is a must! (Just a heads-up: Catalonia is quite large, so a 30-minute drive to a fantastic restaurant is totally normal.)

Christine and Walter gave us a very warm welcome. The house offers a wonderful place for relaxing days with a larger group. The rooms and the whole property are furnished with great attention to detail and everything is clean. Due to the location, you are dependent on a car, but the surrounding area offers plenty of peace and space. The outdoor area with pool and numerous activities and the great outdoor kitchen also invite you to linger! Christine and Walter were always available for problems, questions or tips. They both put a lot of effort into everything and you can see that in every corner. We really enjoyed our stay and would come back...

Wir hatten einen wunderschönen und einwandfreien Aufenthalt im Ferienhaus Cal Colina. Das Ferienhaus befindet sich in einer angenehm ruhigen Gegend in unmittelbarer Nähe zu einigen sehr empfehlenswerten Gastronomien, das Meer ist zügig und unkomplizierter zu erreichen und auch die Metropole Barcelona bietet sich als Ziel für einen Tagesausflug an. Doch insgesamt bietet Cal Colina alles, was ein perfektes Urlaubsziel braucht: eine wunderschöne Außenküche mit Pizzaofen, einen riesigen Garten mit zahlreichen verschiedenen Obstbäumen für morgendliche Spaziergänge und einen großen Pool in Mitten des Gartens, der in sehr gepflegten Zustand ist. Das Haus selbst ist voller kleiner ästhetischer Details, die Zimmer sind sehr geschmackvoll und individuell eingerichtet und waren ausnahmslos alle sehr sauber. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich allerdings die Gastfreundschaft der Vermieter! Die beiden sind äußerst ortskundig und versorgen ihre Gäste bei Bedarf gerne mit Tips zur Urlaubsgestaltung und gaben uns durchweg das Gefühl in ihrem Ferienhaus sehr willkommen zu sein.
