La Freixera — Hotel in Solsona

Stayed here on a journey down to Valencia. Solsona is a lovely town , especially the old town. Plenty of bars / restaurants within 5 minute walking distance. Many more within 10 minutes! ||The stand out for us was the young man on reception, he dealt with everything from advice / guidance as to where to eat, to helping park the car! Unfortunately did not get his name. But a real bonus to a wonderful hotel.||Rooms are excellent, very clean and with great showers (in our room) really comfortable and bang on.||Parking was fun! We were guided to a lock-up garage a minute from the hotel. Fairly tight in terms of entry and reversing out due to parked vehicles and street size! Overall safe and secure, definitely worthwhile.||Breakfast again excellent, welcomed by the same young man, everything one would want along with being able to order omelet's served to perfection. ||Overall a great stay in a wonderful hotel with super staff. A must stay...

Couple escapade, out of the city escapade, romantic weekend, winter vibes, relaxing weekend, quality time, petits grands hotels, Catalunya secret gems, hotel rooms with charm, casa artesanal..it ticks all the keywords if your research includes any of this. This is a beautiful vintage building in the historical centre of Solsona, a cute town in Lleida Pyerenee. Each room has a name because each room has its character and style. If you go in the winter and choose La Pineda, you would have the jackpot! The chimney, the bed (oh yes the mattress), the room, everything is just perfect. The staff pay attention to details, Pau was very helpful and such a pleasant company. The breakfast is great and the location couldn’t be better if you want to walk around Solsona. I cannot express enough the happiness this place gave us and how I would like to repeat!

Beautiful historical house converted into a wonderful hotel. We stayed at the hotel 3 times over the course of 2 weeks and stayed in different rooms. Each had its charm, although the best one was the room with the bathtub: a royal treat. The mattresses were on the soft side, which was the only thing I regretted as I prefer a much firmer bed (but again, that's a personal assessment . |Other than that, the rooms were spotless, the breakfast full of local delicacies, the staff absolutely superb. |I highly recommend La Freixera for a romantic getaway, or a family stay.
