We stay 4 night in a suite.
The Room
3/5 Spacious, clean, and serviced daily. The suite comes with a large terrace featuring a bathtub, and the bed is comfortable, although the pillows are overly thick and long. A good point goes to the ample storage space.
Points for improvement:
No lounge chairs on the terrace.
The suite feels a bit “empty.”
No smart TV, only Spanish channels.
Finishing details are sloppy, especially visible in electrical fixtures: loose wires in the lamps and an unfixed socket in the bathroom
Hotel Service
2/5 Positive aspects:
Warm welcome on arrival.
Housekeeping generally good, as the room was clean every day, even though some leftovers from the previous guests were still present when we first checked in (we were compensated with a bottle of champagne).
Staff were generally smiling and pleasant.
Points for improvement:
Major issue at the hotel’s only bar, located by the pool. The bartender seemed inexperienced with cocktails and the setup of the small bar itself. The result: 45 minutes for a whiskey & coke, and my wife never received her cocktail — and this happened two days in a row.
Breakfast was rather disappointing compared to expectations from previous reviews: many industrial products such as orange juice and pastries
Facilities
3/5
Convenient access to parking, the location is practical.
The pool is clean and peaceful.
We did not try the spa.
Points for improvement:
The gym is laughable, its presence seems intended only to justify the hotel’s fourth star.
Few activities are offered despite the hotel having enough space to provide more
Hotel Location
4/5
Overall correct, with beach access about 10 minutes on foot.
The hotel is in the middle of a seaside resort.
Tarifa is within walking distance (25 minutes) and offers real charm with numerous bars and restaurants.
The area is extremely windy, though this is well known in advance.
Conclusion
3/5 This hotel feels more like a “stopover” place than a destination in itself. Its size impresses as much as its empty spaces. In fact, in the top-floor suite, the wind whistles through all night long. The long corridors amplify noises from the entrance.
The staff are smiling and pleasant but sometimes seem a bit lost. Nobody asked for our feedback...
Read moreDeeply disappointing experience — made even worse by the fact that I was a returning guest. I had booked and fully paid for my stay, and was ready to travel when two DFDS ferry crossings were cancelled due to force majeure. I was physically prevented from reaching the property.
I informed the hotel and politely requested a refund, expecting at least a gesture of goodwill. Instead, I was met with a cold, mechanical reply citing “policy” — as if policies were absolute laws, immune to reason, ethics, or compassion. No flexibility, no respect, not even for a repeat customer.
Let’s be clear: there was no service rendered. I neither stayed in the room nor used a single resource. The decision to withhold the refund was not an obligation — it was a deliberate choice, made with full awareness of the circumstances. That speaks volumes about how this establishment views its guests: as transactions, not people.
There’s no need to raise my voice — the facts speak for themselves. I will not return, and I strongly discourage others from supporting businesses that show such disregard for fairness, loyalty, and...
Read moreFrom the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcomed. Artur and Carmen at the reception were absolutely sensational – warm, helpful, and always ready with a smile. Their hospitality made our stay extra special.
The hotel itself is spotless – everything was perfectly clean and well-maintained. The breakfast was unique and outstanding, with a wide variety of fresh, high-quality options that you don’t often find elsewhere.
The pool area was like a dream – beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring.
All in all, a fantastic experience. We’ll definitely be...
