Hotel Jarama — Hotel in Zamora

At first we were disappointed on arrival to find this hotel in a grotty, busy street. We also arrived at a time when the bar and restaurant were busy with midday diners, and the staff barely had time to help us. However they turned out to be helpful and friendly enough, and we were shown to our room without too much delay. ||The room was small, though very clean and comfortable, and the bathroom was excellent. WiFi is available in the room. We had two very good nights there. ||Elderly visitors with heavy cases should be aware that there are no lifts up to the rooms. ||Breakfast was extra, and in the bar, and obviously limited to what Spanish bars have, e.g. croissants, bread with ham and/or cheese, coffee and tea. ||Secure parking is available in a locked garage round the corner. ||The historical and interesting part of town is only five minutes' walk away and there are plenty of cafés and restaurants there, although evening meals are usually served after...

Tuvimos una reserva en el hotel Jarama de Zamora de viernes a domingo||Llegamos al hotel, y aunque tenían la reserva de una página confirmada, no tenían habitaciones disponibles.||Nos reubicaron en el hotel Doña Urraca, que es de los mismos dueños.||Cuando llegamos al hotel doña urraca, nos dijeron que solo tenían disponibilidad para la noche del viernes||Volvimos al Jarama y nos cercioramos de que la noche del sábado tenían disponibilidad para nosotros.||Reservaron la habitación xxx y nos quedamos tranquilos ya que teníamos una habitación asignada.||El sábado a la mañana dejamos el hotel doña urraca y metimos las maletas al coche para poder visitar Zamora.||A media mañana recibo una llamada diciendo que porqué habíamos dejado la habitación, que nos teníamos que alojar en el hotel doña urraca. Le comentamos que no había disponibilidad y que ya nos habían reservado la habitación XXX.||A todo esto, nos realizaron el cargo de la estancia en la tarjeta.||A media tarde fuimos al hotel Jarama y dieron la habitación que teníamos asignada a una pareja que se registró delante nuestro. No daba crédito a lo que estaba ocurriendo!!!||Al final, como se había anulado una reserve, nos pudieron recolocar en otra habitación.||||Me parece vergonzoso que, teniendo reserva de una página, nos anduvieran así!!!||Primero la molestia de tener que ir a otro hotel, volver a hacer maletas y meterlas en el coche, el cargo en la tarjeta sin dar autorización y la incertidumbre de no saber si teníamos habitación ninguna de las 2 noches reservadas.||Unos impresentables!! Aunque para ellos debe de ser normal ya que no fuimos los únicos a los que les hicieron lo mismo.||||Y la verdad, el hotel no merece nada la pena. Hay muchos hoteles en Zamora como para tener que alojarse aquí.||La habitación se caía a trozos, la ducha no cerraba bien y había un goteo constante (ni la tortura china), el colchón más duro que una tabla,…||En fin, que no vuelvo ni loca...

Never again it was to be a two night stay but we knew we had got it wrong the moment we arrived. The smell in the hotel was like sewage. The staff were hostile The room could have been cleaner.
