Hasara Oceanfront Apartments — Hotel in Galle

This is to express my deep dissatisfaction with the appalling standards and unacceptable treatment we endured during our recent stay. The communication was abysmal from the outset, with Ms. C. Sewwandi solely interacting with us via phone and offering no genuine support when an embarrassing situation arose concerning the pool. Her response was dismissive and defensive, and despite assurances that the issue would be resolved, no action was ever taken.

The accommodation itself was equally disappointing. Basic amenities such as the gas cooker, induction stove, and microwave were all non-functional except for the rice cooker. Due to this we struggled to prepare breakfast as planned. This inconvenience also led to a delayed checkout. Had we been informed earlier that the appliances were only for the display but not for the use as we were told, we could have made alternate arrangements before hand. This level of neglect and lack of hospitality reflects a severe disregard for guests' comfort and expectations.

We had a very disappointing stay at this hotel due to multiple issues that made us feel uncomfortable and frustrated. First, there was a serious lack of proper communication from the staff. Because of this, we were put in an awkward and embarrassing situation in front of other guests, which was completely avoidable with better handling.

What concerned us even more was that our personal phone number was shared with an unknown person without our permission. This is a serious violation of our privacy and completely unacceptable from any professional establishment. It made us feel unsafe and disrespected.

Additionally, the kitchen equipment provided in the room was not working properly. We faced unnecessary trouble when trying to prepare food, and no proper solution was offered. It felt like basic guest needs were not taken seriously.

We are sharing this review not to complain, but in the hope that the hotel can improve its service and communication. This will help ensure future guests do not go through the same experience we did. Guests deserve respect, privacy, and comfort — and we truly hope...

The apartment has a fantastic sea view for a very competitive price considering the location, amenities and definitely the view. The interior decor is modern, unique and definitely matches with the view. It was spotlessly clean. It had all the kitchen utensils that you would need during your stay. I recommend ordering food from the Hasara Hotel. Good quality food delivered to your doorstep at a bargain price.

Last but not least, I would like to commend Kasuni and her team for all the effort they put forward to make our stay very comfortable. Clear pre-check-in information was provided through WhatsApp. Check-in was a breeze with the help of Kasuni and Pasan. I got nice recommendations about places to visit and where to eat from Kasuni. All my questions and requests were handled superbly. I had questions about how to get the TV to work and how to find a dry cleaning service. I was helped immediately.
