We found this homestay on Booking.com the day before. It was a great find. We arrived to be greeted by the son was really friendly and taken to our room. It was adequate for a few nights. Very clean. No air conditioning but a large ceiling fan which did the job. Garden area was beautiful. But beware lots of mosquitoes due to the property being on a river. You can buy cold drinks. The breakfast was included in the price. Freshly squeezed fruit juice toast jam and any form of egg you wanted. Omelette was lovely. Tea and coffee. They have a tuk tuk and he will do you a boat safari both payable. The home is only a 5min tuk tuk ride from the railways station...

The owner Mervin Jeya and his wife Chandra are very friendly and hard working couple who take great pride in maintaining a manicured lawn, garden and swimming pool. Unawatuna Beach is within close proximity. I highly recommend this charming, serene and relaxing villa to anyone visiting Galle...
