Amadeo Beach Resort — Hotel in Sri Lanka

This hotel is the worst one we've ever been to. Specially the Manager terrible, he haven't any manager behavior. Our reservation included an AC-inclusive room with 3 double beds. After we visited that place, the manager informed us that the AC was not working. He tried to set up the stand fan and informed us that they would deduct Rs 1000 from his bill due to an AC problem. We did not approve his request, so he had to provide us with two additional rooms with double beds.

Also, they had a restaurant, but there was nothing to eat there. Dinner also we have to get from outside.

As per the our hotel package, we get the BB plan. Upon asking about our breakfast in the morning, the manager let us know that the BB package had been removed because of the room change. then we have to get Breakfast from outside. Due to a bad experience, we had to check out at 10.00am instead of the scheduled 12.00pm checkout.

We will never ever going to visit this hotel again. Really a worst place. It destroyed our whole vacation. Don’t visit this place. This hotel is one of the worst hotels...

I traveled around Sri Lanka with my wife, and we spent 3 nights in this hotel. This is an excellent option if you travel on a tight budget and do not require a 5-star hotel. The location is perfect - right on the Hikkaduwa beach next to beach restaurants and bars. Grocery & liquor stores are also nearby.||||The room was air-conditioned, with a large bed and clean bathroom. The bed was surrounded by a mosquito net. The room had no TV, but we didn't need it anyway. The complimentary free Wi-Fi was fast relatively to what we experienced in other Sri Lankan hotels (including one 5-star hotel).||||The hosts were very helpful and attentive - great service. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful.||||The place would be even better if the room door closed hermetically. There was a gap (2-5 mm) at the bottom of the door, and small ants could get in. It didn't bother us that much, but this still is an area for improvement.||||In summary, this is a good place to stay if you are a budget traveler, seeking a cozy and clean bed & breakfast place in a good location...

We discovered this place just by accident. Shaun, the manager helped us to have best holiday in Hikkaduwa. This place have a great potential to further develop, still it work on the beach front resturant. The rooms are reasonably priced, spacious, clean and maintained. Strong wifi and air conditioner, the breakfast was included in the rom price. The breakfast was filling and great. We had breakfast in the full view of sea view. Excellent Easy access to 2 supermarkets , beach and to a wine shop. Just 7 mins quiet stroll to the city centre, more eating places, shops, Hikkaduwa bus stop etc.. The staff is great, friendly and very helpful. They will attend anything to make your stay enjoyable. Ned to mention Shaun, the manager, who is an excellent guy. We really enjoyed our 6 days stay...
