Blue Surf View — Hotel in Sri Lanka

Hilda and Petty were wonderful hosts, running their new accommodation Blue Surf View. They welcomed us with fresh coconuts, an incredibly clean room (unbelievably clean infact!), a very spacious and comfortable room (with air con and fridge) and the most spectacular view overlooking the beach. Perfectly located inbetween both beaches, surrounded by local high quality authentic restaurants (we ate at Mahee for dinner... A bit of a wait time but worth the wait. Pre-order if you're in a hurry/ hungry).

The next morning we woke to a man climbing the coconut tree to fetch some new fresh coconuts.

The view was amazing and great to hear the sound of the ocean. However, unsure on the hype as it is very rural and a lot of restaurants on google maps said they were open, but in fact closed. The bay was very small, if thats what you’re after. The room was spacious and clean, but when turning the hot water on, it tripped the electricity in the bathroom. It was tough hearing and seeing all the stray dogs and puppies (no fault of the accommodation) but it made it difficult to stay and it cut our stay short. We had wonderful time with this lovely family. This was brand new homestay with spacious super clean room and amazing full ocean view. Very comfy bed and good shower. Breakfast super delicious. We felt very welcomed and we stayed one more extra night. We would stay even longer if they are not booked. Family also organised scooter for us.
