Green Heaven Resort Udawalawa — Hotel in Sri Lanka

My friend and I stayed here for one night before going to the safari park the next day and WOW what an exceptional time we had. I cannot recommend staying here enough. Our host went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible time, took us to visit some amazing local spots, arranged the safari for us and is so knowledgeable about Sri Lanka and its history. He is so incredibly interesting to speak to, and such a lovely person. He even got up at 4am to drive us to Arugam bay and helped us decide what to do with the rest of our time in Sri Lanka. This stay has absolutely made our time in Sri Lanka, we booked it as it was an affordable price for a stop over whilst we were doing the national park but got so much more out of it!

Our host sorted a private safari for us and then took us on a private tour stopping of at a temple where he was so knowledgeable and made it very interesting and then further into a small village through a jungle and exploring a 500 million old cave and fresh springs. Honestly up there with one of the best days of our lives.

They were so friendly and accommodating and the food was also amazing. The host also helped us plan the rest of our trip.

The host was so friendly and welcoming. Included in the price was a pickup from the Udawalawa junction bus stop (even arriving late at 20:30), and upon arrival I was upgraded to a double room with en-suite for no extra cost! The host had lots of local knowledge and was happy to answer any questions.

Location was great, only 10/15 mins from the national park. I did the Safari in the morning which was incredible!! The breakfast after the Safari was pretty good and super convenient. I extended my booking for another night as it was such a nice stay

Only thing was the cockroaches in the bathroom, but given the location I kind of expected to...
