Heaven’s Gate Ella — Hotel in Sri Lanka

By far the worst experience in Sri Lanka so far. All the facilities are completely different to the advertised. No terrace - its a building site. No breakfast at 8am! Other guests complained and manager said he'd put breakfast on at 830am, when he didn't arrive by 845am we all gave up and went into the town.

The room was dirty, hairs in the bed and in the sink. I didn't feel safe, with the paper thin door and a guy who looked drunk sat outside staring at me all the time!

There is no lounge, the reception is a storage room and is not 24hrs as advertised - see pictures. And the noise is SO LOUD! People shouting outside the room until after midnight, and blaring music and shouting starting at 6am. Construction everywhere adding to the completely overwhelming noise.

only thing good about this place is the view. Customer service is NIL!!!! The food is good for nothing!!!! We ate only coz we had paid for it!!! So disgusting. If you want to experience kiribath the side of pol toffee ( tiny once) with no coconut milk or any taste at all this place is ideal! Lol!!! The fruit latter's were hilarious! Can see through the watermelon that's how stingly the cut!!! And hey they avoid mentioning if rate is per night or for the full trip. So better clarify. We wanted to stay in ella 3nights, left in 1! Only because the stay was that unpleasant.... and Oh!! The toilets stink! Never ever go to...

We went on the 10th of Jan where they promised Rs 30000 for a family room for 2 days we advanced Rs 5000. When leaving out of the hotel I payed full amount where I forgot to reduce the advance. Before we left I asked them to check the room as well. I called and asked to bank the extra I payed they asked me to send bank details I sent. Two days they were popostponing the payment and now when I ask they are saying different excuses. DONT GO TO THIS HOTEL THEY ARE CHEATERS. THEY TAKE CUSTOMERS FOR GRANTED. THEY CANNOT BE...
