I would like to begin by clarifying that this is not a professional hotel, and it appears to primarily cater to short-term stays. During my visit, I noticed a high turnover of couples frequently checking in and out, which gave me the impression that the establishment mainly targets hourly bookings rather than standard overnight stays. I had requested the room to be ready by 4 PM, but unfortunately, it was only made available around 5 PM, which was quite inconvenient. The room they initially gave me was in extremely poor condition—it was dirty, poorly maintained, and had an unpleasant odor. The washroom, in particular, reeked of cigarette smoke, making it very uncomfortable to use. When I made the reservation, I was informed that the only difference between family rooms was the presence or absence of a balcony. I opted for the one without a balcony, but the condition of that room was unacceptable. After raising my concerns, I was provided with an alternative family room on the first floor that included a balcony. This room was significantly better in terms of cleanliness, comfort, and overall atmosphere. Based on my experience, I would strongly recommend avoiding rooms on the ground or basement floors. If you need to stay overnight, choose a first-floor family room with a balcony for a much better experience.

We booked a room in the perahara season. We did the half payment two days before the check-in day. We called the hotel and said that we are coming today and when we were gone the room was'nt ready. We had to wait till they arranged a room. Also please hire really professional and qualified employees. That fair and chubby girl in the reception behaved like "who cares you? Um the boss and um the owner here" Teach them customers are the number 1. U earn because of customers. If you don't treat your customers friendly you won't be able to continue your careers. We don't come to your places for free. We paid 9000 Rupees to stay at your hotel. So please treat your customers nicely and friendly. Learn to smile with your customers. Please hire a qualified front office staff. Another thing is the commode in the bathroom was dirty. our day was destroyed from the beginning

Experience at Hotel Bamian was completely disappointing. Condition of the hotel room was down at heel. The shabby bathroom facilities, torn out bedsheet, stained walls with patches caused much disgust. The receptionist has to be way more present- minded. Clearly mentioned lunch in their own advertisements ultimately became something we had to ask for. In order to coverup their mistake they kept on saying that it's not included for our stay. Even after 3 calls and a prolonged waiting period, we had to have our lunch at 3:00 pm. People do make mistakes and that was not the issue. They don't even know how to deal with a situation politely. We have had lots of experiences in other hotels around Sri Lankan, but this is the first time we had this much of a disappointment. Don't ruin your vacation by going there.

Disappointed by the Decline: A Review of Bamiyan Guest House

For a long time, Bamiyan Guest House was my go-to place whenever I needed a comfortable and reliable stay. Unfortunately, my most recent experience was a far cry from the past, leaving me deeply disappointed.

What initially drew me to Bamiyan was the exceptional service. The staff was friendly, helpful, and always went the extra mile to ensure a pleasant stay. However, this attentiveness seems to have vanished entirely. During my recent visit, the receptionists displayed a concerning lack of professionalism. This blatant disregard for honesty was not only frustrating but also eroded my trust in the establishment.

Beyond the reception staff's behavior, the overall quality of service has declined significantly. Simple requests, took an unreasonably long time to be addressed, if at all. This inattentiveness created an unnecessary level of inconvenience that detracted from the experience.

The decline in service quality wasn't the only concern. The guest house itself seemed less well-maintained than in the past. These issues created an overall impression of neglect, further diminishing the once-positive atmosphere.

It saddens me to write this review, as I truly valued Bamiyan Guest House in the past. However, the current state of affairs falls far short of the standards they once set. For potential guests looking for a reliable and comfortable stay, I would hesitate to recommend Bamiyan based on my recent experience.

I sincerely hope that the management takes note of these concerns and implements measures to improve service quality and overall guest experience. Bamiyan has the potential to be a fantastic place to stay once again, but significant changes are needed to regain the trust and loyalty of previous customers like myself..

My check in date was 17th AUG 2024 and Room...

Disappointing Stay at Hotel Barmian, Kandy

I recently stayed at Hotel Barmian in Kandy, and unfortunately, it was a very unpleasant experience. Although it used to be a nice hotel, the current condition is far from acceptable. It is advertised as a 3-star hotel, but I believe it doesn’t even deserve 2 star.

The rooms were extremely dirty, the bathrooms were smelly, and overall, the cleanliness was lacking. The beds were unstable and uncomfortable. To make things worse, there was a power cut during my stay, and there was no backup generator or even a simple candle provided.

The breakfast was average, nothing special. When I raised these concerns with the staff, most were apologetic. However, one staff member, named Ms Chathu, was dismissive and seemed uninterested in addressing the issues. She mentioned, “We can’t do anything. If you don’t want to stay, then you can make the decision “

One of the most disappointing aspects of my stay was the apparent disparity in treatment between local and foreign tourists. I raised this issue with the staff, and Ms Chathu openly admitted that the hotel management treats local tourists differently from foreign tourists. Ms. Chathu she treats like, “For the hotel, foreign tourists’ money is money, but local tourists’ money is not.” This shows a shocking lack of respect for local guests, and this kind of attitude is completely unacceptable.

In summary, I would not recommend Hotel Barmian to anyone. The lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, and overall uncomfortable experience made this stay a major letdown. The staff, especially some of them, are not suited for the tourism industry, and significant improvements are needed for this hotel to meet even...
