The atmosphere of the property is tranquil and welcoming, perfect for unwinding after a day exploring the beach, river, or nearby temples. Rooms are clean, cosy, and tastefully arranged, and there’s an unmistakable sense of care in every detail — from the way the beds are made to the thoughtful touches around the common areas.

But what truly elevates this homestay is the food. It is, quite simply, outstanding. Each meal is a celebration of Sri Lankan home cooking — bursting with flavour, freshness, and made with evident love. Whether it’s a traditional rice and curry spread or a simple breakfast of hoppers and sambol, every dish was deeply satisfying.

I highly recommend speaking with the hosts about your spice preferences before meals, as Sri Lankan cuisine can be quite fiery for those unaccustomed. That said, the hosts are incredibly considerate and will gladly adjust the spice level to suit your palate without compromising on taste. They are more than happy to explain the ingredients and even share cooking tips if you're interested.

We stayed in Indra Sisila Villa for one and half month and I can say, this absolutely one of the best place, we experienced while we are travelling First - people are very hospitable and friendly and always very helpful. Second - very tasty breakfasts. Third -location is amazing, in the morning you can hear how birds sing songs, Fourth - we were given bycicles free, Fifth - there is WiFi, sixth - there is comfortable kitchen, and you can cook foryourself, Seventh - it is always clean, Eighth - we were given soap, tooth paste and toilet paper.We really recommend this place, this family knows what does it mean hospitality , and you won't regret to come to this place, great experience, I believe we were lucky to live at this villa, for sure we will...
