Mountain peak ella — Hotel in Sri Lanka

For this price point it is an excellent place, the host is very kind and prepared delicious breakfasts for us and we even had 1 dinner there! The tea they serve was just delicious! We couldn't find better around SL, it is the way they make it...properly prepared. Mind you it's is on a very high mountain, this gives nice views but you will need to take a tuk tuk from Ella town 15minutes for around 4USD one way or walk maybe 30minutes minimum! We always took tuk tuk. Rooms are a bit humid so I had to sleep with open windows. Also expect some insects such as ants, or moths - thankfully no mosquitoes at all when we were there !!! As said above for this price its a good deal but don't expect western standard. Overall it was good stay for 3 nights....

I had a brilliant stay here. The room is big, clean, comfortable and very good value. Hot shower, clean sheets, towels and a fan- and really quiet away from city noise. Lasantha is a brilliant host. He served breakfast on the terrace and helped me with laundry, and made me lunch one day. He brought me a kettle so I could make tea. It is right at the top of the maintain with amazing views. I’d recommend getting a scooter to get to and from it and see the best of Ella in the day time… otherwise could be reached by tuk tuk or...

The host is incredible. Rooms are comfortable, there is hot shower and good wifi, the breakfast is AMAZING and the views are fantastic.
