Mountain Lodge Stöten — Hotel in Malung-Sälens kommun

This is one of the best and coziest hotels I have ever stayed at. The whole hotel offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere and the staff makes you feel even more welcome. They are very attentive and are fulfilling every request immediately. The reception, breakfast area and restaurant are all decorated with a lot of stone and wood which is providing a nice skiing atmosphere. The breakfast was small but offered everything we needed for a full day of skiing such as eggs, bread, vegetables, yoghurt, cereals, waffles and more.||The room was good, we had expected a small room as the website said 15 sqm but it felt a lot bigger than that. Also the room was nicely decorated with stone, wood and stylish tiles in the bathroom. The room was also very well sound insulated and I didn't hear any neighbour during our four night stay. The room is equipped with a drying cabinet in which you can dry all clothes after a day in the slopes. They also provide a heated locker in the basement to store skis and boots in which you can fit equipment for 2-3 persons. The only lack we experienced was that the wifi signal in our room wasn’t very strong and disappeared sometimes as we had a room in the end of the hallway.||The hotel is offering free parking just outside and almost a ski in/ski out location as you might need to walk 30-40 meters before putting your skis on. ||All in all this is an excellent hotel which I can recommend to everyone visiting Stöten any time...

For the price we paid it's a real scam.

The rooms were so hot and dry that we had to go up every hour to drink water. A total of 3 liters during a 7h night. It was impossible to fully turn off the radiators, we could only open one of the windows and when we put the radiators on the lowest heat they started to make a sound worse than an aircraft carrier to compensate when we had the windows open. Outside ppl were singing and dancing until past 2am and we could smell cigarette smoke the whole night.

The spa. Big sauna for 30 people. Okay lounge area for 20 people and a little outside pool for 15 people but only one shower.... ?!

The food The food had as much taste and nutrition as cardboard....

The staff. When we couldn't sleep during the night we tried to get a hold of the front desk or someone who could help us to turn down the heat. But none answered and nobody was there or around. The next morning when we were going to check out the older woman was rather rude when we told her about our stay, and she replied that we were wrong and the people who stayed in our room before us didn't complain.

Next time I go there to ski I will either set up a tent or sleep in a hostel. This place was...

This hotel offers a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and the friendly staff made us feel welcome from the second we arrived . The hotel has a very cozy skiing atmosphere. We stayed in the new build apartment. It was equipped with everything thing we could wish to make our stay perfect. fantastic kitchen, fully equipped. After a lovely day in the slopes we relaxed in the privet sauna in the apartment, nice bathrooms . Comfortable beds, never slept better The room are sound insulated and very quiet . The entrance is equipped with a drying cabinet and good space for clothes and shoes etc. In the basement there were space to store skies. Delicious healthy breakfast buffe, in nice decorated area, friendly helpful staff. |Ski rental is in the same building. Ski in/out . |We came by car , easy to park just outside and it’s free.
