I booked a Queen sized bed and a single bed room for 2 nights. When we got to our room there was a very small double bed and a very untidy pull out sofa bed.
I went to reception to speak to them about the room compared to what i had booked, the male on reception was very rude, dismissive and spoke over the top of me anytime i tried to speak. He stated " i cant build you a hotel" and that i had been a problem since i checked in, when i only checked in, paid and parked the car before taking the lift from the underground directly to my room, my contact with him initially was limited to checking in, paying for 2 rooms, asking where to park and him explaining the parking ticket, so I'm unsure how i had been a problem. He refused to give his name in order for me to make a complaint, however he did shove a business card at me me with the email address on it to make the complaint.
The room did not suit our needs as it was very small and the sofa bed took up so much space my son who is on crutches due to a broken foot, could not move well round due to lack of space. The room was very dirty, stained carpet in multiple places, the bathroom was dirty, hair on the wall and a dirty plastic cup by the sink. The soap dispenser in the shower was full of mould. There was a kettle that had some water in it and a lot of floating dirt inside. They supplied 1 teabag, 4 sugar, 2 biscuits but no cups or any milk to make tea, not that i would use the filthy kettle. There was dirty tissues under the bed also. There was little bottles of shower gel an shampoo, the ones in our rooms had already been opened and partly moved. The cleaning crew seem to do very little based on the state of the room we were assigned.
My partner is 6ft3 so we both did not fit in the very small double bed together therefore he slept on the floor, which was very uncomfortable for him and not what we expected when we booked this hotel. He didn't even fit in the bed properly on his own to be honest as the picture will show. My son was in agony already with his foot, only to suffer further as the sofa bed mattress was paper thin and we could feel the metal bars through it. I could not even ask for spare pillows as the male receptionist was so rude i didn't feel comfortable going back down.
The reception area would lead you to believe you will be staying in a very nice hotel, however the rooms are worse than most budget hotels and even some hostels.
I was assured by a very nice female receptionist that her manager would contact by the next day and that my email had been assigned directly to him on the Sunday morning by her, it is now 5 days later and I've sent 2 emails and not 1 single person has reached out to me. I asked them to review their CCTV to capture exactly how their very rude male receptionist spoke to me and I can only assume they do not care about customer service.
All in all, I would never return to this hotel or recommend it to anyone. The area is also very residential and there is nothing nearby. I will await contact from the hotel management, though i dont think they will bother to contact me or take my complaint seriously at all!!!
FYI - nothing opens on a Sunday, we really struggled to...
Read moreGreat & friendly staff however the management of this hotel is horrible. We stayed here for an exceptionally long period of time (2 weeks) with our 8 month old baby and upon checking in we were told that they prepared the sofa for our baby to sleep in. When we told them we requested a crib the person at the front desk felt horrible and tried to offer us a solution as they did not have any cribs in the facility. He was young and didn't know any better and so he offered to put towels around our baby while she sleeps as a barrier (we told him that our daughter can climb and this is extremely dangerous). He then found a bassinet for us however again, she climbs therefore it is not safe for a baby her age. We ended up sleeping on the floor with our daughter that night (as the bed in our room was tiny) and then we spent the entire following day looking for a foldable travel crib (which is what every hotel we stayed at on our trip provided for us). We found one about an hour and a half outside of the city. I contacted Expedia 4 separate times about this requesting some kind of reimbursement as we had to use our own money to buy a foldable travel crib and wasted an entire day of our vacation looking for one (even though our booking said we would have one in our room) however the hotel ignored all 4 request. We saw a few reviews like this where the hotel did not respond to request made by guest complaints so this is just a warning for any parents travelling with a baby to maybe look at staying...

It's only the breakfast. We asked for the additional crockery and glasses so we had to carry ourselves. No staff. Study table is there but without reading lights. Even main lights are not over the table. Breakfast is just average. The staff doesn't have the courtesy to even ask, if anything is required or if they can help. Room cleaning means only bed making n some vacum. No cleaning of table , change of used cups or crockery. Location is fine next to Affoltern a A main station.
Overall a third grade with poor hospitality by staff. Don't expect any service.
The receptionist was helpful. She tries to help out but her hands are tight.
