We traveled to Switzerland for a brief stay before we needed to catch our flight back to NY and chose Im Roeseligarten because of it's location (in the country but a short drive to the Zurich airport) and it's positive reviews. We had a wonderful two nights here. Wolfhausen is a small town near Rapperswil on Lake Zurich which we initially had a bit of trouble finding (the map we'd gotten at the rental car desk didn't actually show Wolfhausen). With a GPS or better directions than the ones we downloaded off Google it's actually not hard to find. We found Im Roeseligarten to be absolutely wonderful. Our room was the one shown in the photo, and it was clean, bright, modern and comfortable. Romana, the owner, was friendly, welcoming and extremely helpful about recommending local restaurants and tourist sites. The B&B is aptly named, not just for the lovely rose garden, but the theme of roses which was found everywhere from the rose petals on our breakfast sweets to our room's decor. We loved the garden, which was compact but full of many different roses and other beautiful plants. Enjoying a relaxing breakfast on the patio in the garden, reading in another pretty seating area in the garden and an evening walk in a lovely Swiss village was a great way to finish our trip. We highly recommend the Im...
Read moreWhat a gorgeous B & B run by Romana. If you like shabby chic and romantic style, this place is for you! We cannot say enough about Romana - such a warm and lovely lady with twinkling eyes and a great hearty laugh....she thinks she doesn't speak very good English, but she really does. We were lucky enough to stay in the large room with private bath, but all of the rooms are gorgeous and well appointed. Everything was spotlessly clean and decorated with roses. There is a full kitchen where you can make yourself a snack at night if you wish - truly a home away from home. Romana had a wonderful breakfast buffet and even made us special little chocolate cakes one morning. There is a pretty porch and garden area where you can sit and enjoy the outdoors if you wish. Romana takes pride in her B & B and it shows - everything is top notch to make her guests feel warmly welcomed. We will not hesitate to stay here again, and I'm hoping for another trip to Switzerland and staying at Im Roseligarten sooner...
Read moreThis year was my second stay at Roesligarden (2 weeks) and I was very content every day I stayed there. Rooms are nicely furnished with a very romantic touch (since I stayed there alone, I had to enjoy it myself). Bathrooms are spacious and nicely laid out. Easy access to garden for smokers. The owner is very friendly and open minded. The house is in a quiet neighbourhood and a 10 mins walk to next bus station if someone has no car.||If you search for a room in the Zuerich Oberland Area I can only...
