Fabulous place and perfect site for us (two adults in motorhome), showers expansive and immaculate with two blocks. Reading other reviews about overcrowding I disagree, although every available bit of land is converted to a pitch, they are generous sizes and there was never a wait for toilets or showers. We visited 3rd week in august so peak time and it really didn’t feel claustrophobic at all. Cost wise it is expensive, we had a premium pitch (70) at €50 pn but then moved due to bookings to a standard (69) at €40 pn. Not sure the premium pitches are worth the extra as they not that bigger; their only advantage is it’s closer to the walkway for beach but then everyone walks/cycles that way past your pitches. I put cost down to Switzerland but also this is a premium site with excellent facilities, with perfect location; you can’t expect it to be €30 pn!! Staff were so friendly and helpful. Will definitely return. There is a supermarket next to the site but would recommend stocking up in France/Germany beforehand as Switzerland is expensive for food shopping. Stans is the local train stop (short bus ride or a lovely 20min cycle on car free pathway) with easy access to network. We did train to Lucerne and got boat back to Buochs, was fabulous! Also recommend the cable car from Stans up the mountain as a good day out. Defo return next year for us! A stones throw from...
Read moreThis campground was easily the best we stayed at during our entire trip. We spent two nights here while visiting the Lake Lucerne area, and the location is simply stunning—right next to the lake with truly excellent views. Beyond the scenery, the facilities were a standout, offering a great standard of comfort and convenience that made our stay relaxing and enjoyable.
Here are the key highlights:
Exceptional Cleanliness: The washrooms and toilet facilities were super clean—the best we've encountered on our trip. Toilet paper is supplied, but you will need to bring your own body wash.
Great Amenities: We highly appreciated the available kitchen and dishwashing facility. The communal lounge area was also a nice spot to relax, and the WiFi connection was solid.
Morning Bakery: They offer a daily morning bakery setup with delicious and affordable fresh products—a perfect way to start the day.
Gate Policy: Be aware that the main gates for vehicles are closed at 10 PM sharp, so you must arrive before then to drive in. However, pedestrian access for walking in and out remains available 24/7.
Overall, this is a beautiful, high-quality spot that we would absolutely recommend for exploring the Lake...
Read moreI like the area, the lake is absolutely beautiful and the camping is well designed for the kids (bikes, games at the library, etc...). However, when I came in late August a group of parachutist privatized the library in the evening and one of them even removed a toy from one of my kids from his hand and kicked him out of the library. So, this group had benefits over other customers. Also, due to heavy rain on my day of arrival, I decided to come to the camping the next day as I was travalling with kids and a tent. As a consequence, I asked to the camping if I could stay one more night for free as I arrived one day late due to the weather conditions and they refused. This happened in late Augut during low season it is why I was surprised that the conditions were so strict (I had paid 5 nights so I wanted to stay 5 nights even with one day late). So as a recommandation, DO NOT BOOK this camping during LOW SEASON. If ever you have an issue there is no flexibility at all. You will lose your money. In conclusion, even if I like the place, I wonder if I will come back. To finish, be aware that with a tent, it can be hot as there is no...
