Lodge Inn Fiesch — Hotel in Fiesch

First, the hotel has been renamed - it is now called Lodge Inn||||On the positive side:||- The hotel is still close to the main train and gondola station (though not as close as it was to the old one). ||- The rooms are mostly clean (exceptions below). ||- Has breakfast. ||- Evening staff helpful. ||- Reasonable value for a ski break, if your expectations are sufficiently modest.||||Things to be aware of:||- Lackluster owners, not trying very hard (plenty of easy things to improve). ||- Marginal breakfast (limited cold cuts, eggs some days, no variety and arbitrary selection). ||- Towels replaced only if left on the floor (but no notice of such rule anywhere in the room). ||- Bedding not replaced at all during our 4 day stay. ||- Carpet somewhat grimy. ||- Window in the bathroom rusted and moldy (never cleaned during our stay - hair on the frame left untouched). ||- Inconvenient showerhead. ||- Beware of the antiquated elevator without an interior door - it's fast, and you should pay attention.||- Not the hotel's fault, but the church nearby will ring its bells beginning at 5:45am and continuing...

A conveniently located hotel, within a short walking distance to the cable car. Free car park for guests, free breakfast, pet friendly. High speed internet suitable for video conferences. Very nice personel, going an extra mile to please their guests. The rooms are clean and tidy. The common part, reception, bar, lounge and restaurant area are tastefully renovated. It’s an old hotel thus the rooms design is a bit outdated, but this is reflected in the prices, especially that breakfast and parking (according to availability) is included. There is also large common car park nearby if needed. Overall nice place to stay and great starting point to discover nearby...

First night and first time in resort. ||Just had a lovely dinner with my husband and teenage boys. ||Ordered pizza x2 , chilli and burgers. All really lovely, loads of food, presented well….I wish I’d taken photos to go with this review. ||My hubby had a couple of the beers and we shared the local wine which was also delicious. ||The kids ordered the brownie desert which was really tasty.||If you have arrived and looking for somewhere for dinner don’t delay book now you won’t be disappointed. ||We will be back soon as my husbands burger looked amazing … we all want one...
