Camping Sedunum — Hotel in Sion

Review for bicycle travellers or backpackers.

The kind of place one wishes existed more as a bicycle traveller. Very quiet except for the nearby main road. Decent price (for CH) even for solo travellers. Downside is the tent area is tiny therefore may probably be full in high season.

Price: 15.40 Fr. (1p), 25.80 Fr. (2p)

Tent area: Small field of grass on the side probably enough for 4 tents. At the very right and back next to the blue container. There are water taps and a table with umbrella which is very nice in case of rain.

Late arrival possible: Yes as it is freely accessible. Reception closes at 20:00 acc. to guy at reception but at 18:00 acc. to sign.

Showers: included

Sink for hand washing clothes: Did not see any - need your own foldable sink or bag.

Wifi: forgot to ask

Other: 1 covered table with benches next to...

I camped for two night, while I was travelling by bike as a solo female traveller. The campsite is nice and quiet, well organised and with a small swimming pool. I decided to stay an extra night (original plan was only one night, but I wanted to explore the nearby town of Sion), and the manager let me stay for an extra night without a problem. They also had karaoke night and entertainment for the campers. I don't give more stars because the showers and toilets could be renovated and clean better, but for a night or two with your own...
