As it is hotel, I would do longer review.
Parking Parking space is quite big, and consists of 4 levels under the hotel. Entrance is located just next to hotel. The exit is located in different place, much lower, so there is no collision with vehicles entering this parking, and it's also convienient. Next to exit, there is refuelling station, very good idea!
Room We were located at the 3rd floor. The view from our balcony was simply astonishing. We had 180 deg panorama for the mountains. The balcony itself quite big. The room is not small, rather average size. Comfortable twin-bed, small drinks fridge and enough wardrobe. The bathroom had a bathtube, so no regular standing shower. Unfortunatelly, almost whole ceeling covered with mushrooms, and faucet (shower head specifically) leaking, so dissapointment here. However, cleaning is done everyday, seems to be fine, but noticed, when suddenly there were more quests, our room was cleaned in rush, not taking enough care.
Restaurant Well, here comes the biggest dissapointment. Mainly, the breakfast is always the same and has: two kind of bread, jam 3 tastes, butter, ham, cheese, joghurt with very cheap muesli, coffee, juice. Nothing more than that, and always the same, no vegetables, etc. Additionally, quite often you could feel the cigarettes - yes in restaurant (as well as in your room through window)!!. On the other hand, the desing of this place and the view from it is very nice, so somehow it compensates those things mentioned above...
Stuff The people doing service are very friendly, and willing to help you. However, most of them don't speak english, which is very suprising for 3-stars hotel with some achievement from Michelin...
Overall summary Hotel looks rather in an old style, which is very nice actually, especially mixing it with such a view from it. The location is amazing, specially having in mind telecabine 50 m from the hotel, and other great routes that you can take. The big downside is the restaurant, english, poor and cigarettes smoke everywhere... If somebody wants to discover beautiful places in Alps, then I do recommend this place. But if you are looking for better quality, then I would go check other hotels next to it (like LeMagrappe with great food and amazing service!, where we were eating everyday). For sure I will return to Veysonnaz, because there are still so many astonishing places...
Read moreOverall, I had a very mixed stay here. The location is truly perfect, and the hotel has a lovely, classic charm—it feels like a proper old-school experience, complete with older but still attractive furniture. My room had a nice view, which was a great bonus. The amenities were excellent. The breakfast spread was fantastic: seriously good pastries, fresh fruit, and hot options like bacon, eggs, and sausage. The spa and gym were also very nice, a great way to unwind after a day out. However, the main drawback was the sleeping situation. The "double bed" was literally just two single beds pushed together. They kept splitting apart in the night, creating a painful gap in the middle and making it genuinely difficult to get a good night's sleep. This is something they absolutely need to fix for a hotel of this class. Also, be aware if you visit during the shoulder/off-season that the on-site restaurant was closed, so plan to eat elsewhere. If you value location and atmosphere, you'll be happy, but travelers sensitive to sleeping comfort might want to confirm their bedding arrangement ahead of time. Great potential, but the split beds are a...
Read moreThe room was very nice (134) and the view was spectacular. There was a large bathtub (bonus!) and balcony facing the valley view. The room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic - lots of different foods and choices, much more than the typical bread-and-jelly. The terrace where we ate breakfast was lovely with the same spectacular view. The staff was friendly and efficient. We were there as part of a wedding party, served in the main dining room, and the food and service were excellent. The only drawback was that the wedding DJ played till early in the morning (could be heard from our room even on the third floor) and we were not the only folks in the hotel. We felt kind of bad for any guests who may have been kept up by the noise. BUT, as part of the party it was overall a fantastic experience. We were wishing that we had booked an extra day or two afterwards; we did not...
