Stayed 1N in a wood themed local hotel ~ 山景大床房 (2pax) and 豪華三人房 (3pax) in Area B, which is split into rooms with balcony (panoramic view) and no balcony. Check-in lobby, breakfast / dinner space and some more rooms are in Area A. There is good space (6 - 8 cars) for parking between both areas, but the way in / out of the place is large enough for 1 car only. For Area B rooms, there are 3 or 4 small steps to climb (without handle bars) leading to the rooms.

Pro Rooms are spacious (even the toilet was very big, there was electric bidet toilet / bathtub, walk-in shower for 2pax room). Small fridge and smart TV available. Balcony with chairs offering panoramic view of sunset / mountains (2 pax room). Room has indoor slippers and separate bathroom ones. Breakfast (0730 onwards) is decent mix of local / western, in a longhouse style space offering panoramic view at every table Water temp / pressure / control is good (did not suffer 'random cold water syndrome' during our stay in Dec) A DIY tea hut available to guests till evening Windows open up, with insect netting Water dispenser (hot / cold) outside the room (near the building entrance)

Con Not quite a homestay, as we did not see the owner at all, it felt like a local hotel stay instead Thermal bedding did not work (2pax room), thankfully it worked in the 4pax one Villa is quite secluded, vehicle required to get in / out (otherwise, about 5min to walk out) 1 room key only, and a physical one that also needs to be plugged in inside the room for electricity to work (quite troublesome for group stay in same room) Villa is quite small ie parking lot takes up fair bit of space, not much to explore Online booking details mentioned bath towel not provided, but a check back with villa staff confirmed that they actually DO provide Electric outlet plug at left side of the bed only. Right side plug (for lamp) was faulty.

2 7-11s within 3min drive, Cingjing farm 5min. No sea of clouds when we were there, but the sunset is nice. Ok place to stay as base to explore Cingjing /...

Unfortunately I have to disagree with other guests' comments. I am being frank with this review. This will have to be the worst hotel we have ever stayed.||1. On arrival the owner was very rude as we did not read carefully about payment in cash. Initially he refused to take credit card nor overseas currencies. In the end we have to agree to a lesser exchange rate for using foreign currency. ||2. Room rates were ridiculously expensive for what was offered. NT3600 for Fri and NT4500 for Sat. Total of AUS$325 for 2 nights. ||3. Our driver helped to ask for local transportation of which the owner ignored him and just pointed out a golf cart can transfer from hotel to main road with a fee. ||4. We do agreed that the view was good from our room but the wooden flooring was dangerous with big cracks and insects. The electrical wiring in the bathroom was dangerous too.The bed is so hard and uncomfortable as we could feel the spring sticking out with no mattress, we need to wake up in the middle of the night to release blood circulation in our body. ||5. After the first night, housekeeping staff they threw away my shower cap but did not replenish lucky I have a spare one for the next morning, same as with the tooth brush. Used cups were not wash.||6. Breakfast was the worst, everything was luke warm, there is some kind of sausages otherwise it is all vegetarian. ||I hope the owner/manager will improve his customer service as he has to be the most snobbish person in the...

This was my second time visiting Qing Jing—my last trip was 8 years ago. Back then, I stayed for 4 days and tried several hotels, and Top Cloud stood out as the best. So naturally, I was excited to revisit! The staff at Top Cloud were incredibly friendly. After confirming our booking, they invited me to add their LINE account. Once they found out it was our birthday, they even surprised us with a small birthday gift—a simple gesture, but it made us feel genuinely welcomed and appreciated. We stayed in a room with a bathtub facing the mountains—what a breathtaking view! The weather was a pleasant 24°C in town, but dropped to a cool 12°C at the Qing Jing Farm. The garden was beautifully maintained, with flowers in full bloom and the scent of blossoms in the air. Driving up can be a bit challenging, but that’s often the price for staying in such a picturesque and peaceful spot. We also went on a sunrise tour. Since I use the overseas version of LINE and couldn’t add the tour contact, Top Cloud kindly helped us by calling on our behalf and guiding us through the process—such thoughtful service! The sunrise experience was magical, and the breakfast the next morning was delightful. I truly wished I could have stayed longer. I’ll definitely be back again.
