A small area with some decorations, nice for a few photos, but not worth the entrance fee.
The place does not have a swiss feel, its decorations and plants are not swiss.
They had a mini playground within the garden suitable for small children. It wasn't very big though, as it was mainly a slide with some places to crawl about.
They had a nice mini water show, although it wasn't very impressive, but was a cute little display of twirling water effects produced by oscillating water sprays.
Also, they made a mistake in their flower sign. They had labeled some small yellow flowers as 'Calla lilies', but the flowers are obviously not Calla lilies. As seen in the picture attached, Calla lilies have one petal with a long yellow stamen (I think that's what it is, but I'm not sure). However, the flower they placed the sign next to has multiple small yellow petals around a short and round pollinating thing. Clearly, they had a huge mix up, I am not sure if it is due to translation issues or lack of updating the signs, but it is evidently wrong.
The garden is walking distance from Cingjing farm, but not very accessible without driving.
Oh and they had a black dog and a black cat and a lot of fish and a few goose in the garden, which were very...
Read moreOne of the major disappointments was visiting after sunset. The staff seemed uninterested in accommodating our request for more lighting, which significantly hampered our ability to explore and appreciate the garden. This lack of cooperation from the staff was a letdown, as it is essential for a positive visitor experience. Additionally, we may have visited during an off-season or an unfortunate time for plant displays. We struggled to find abundant flowers in bloom, which was a letdown for a garden visit. To maximise the enjoyment of the Swiss Garden, it is crucial to choose the right time of year when the flora is at its best. Moreover, the structures within the garden left much to be desired. Many of them appeared old and in need of maintenance. A well-maintained garden not only enhances the aesthetics but also ensures the safety and enjoyment of the visitors. While I cannot speak for other times of the day or year, my experience left much to be desired. The management should address these issues to provide a more satisfying and memorable experience for...
Read moreHonestly... for 150NTD this place is very much skippable. Its not bad, but it's quite underwhelming for the price you pay. The garden grounds are pretty small, and only some of the decorations are picturesque. The condition of some of the decorations are pretty bad too - filled with mold, cobwebs, dirt etc.
Although there are plenty of real plants around, some parts of the garden are filled with fake plants. The water pond altough clean with the presence of Koi fishes, is filled with algae and overall not really presentable for a commercial garden like this.
They also have an ongoing offer - if you order some drinks from their cafe that all have a base fare of 150NTD, a ticket will be included with the drink. Pretty smart tactic I will say. However, the service of one of the waitress left a bad taste. She was very impatient and kept pressuring us to put...
