雲海灣海景民宿 — Hotel in Taitung City

I'm really surprised SeaBay doesn't have a TripAdvisor account. They should! I took my father there in May (even though it's definitely well-suited for couples & friends!), and the owner & his father & Mr. Lee are all SUCH wonderful people. They are so kind and helpful! Once they knew my dad was a bit on the older side, they gave me a complimentary upgrade to a larger, best view room! And, despite our last minute request, Mr. Lee and the owner kept calling the Green Island ferry companies to help find us ferry tickets for the next day. On that morning, Mr. Lee took my dad & I, one at a time, to the ferry dock, via his scooter. He could've said "just get a taxi," but instead he insisted on personally taking us. He even refused a tip, saying it was pleasure to help us have a good stay. ||||The rooms are awesome. Giant and clean. There were a few flying insects, but that's probably because I accidentally left the porch door open ... since the deck VIEW IS AWESOME. Right on the oceaan. Unlike most of the B&Bs in Taitung, Seabay is actually ON the water. You can see Green Island right in front of you! Even the bathroom bathtub has a giant unblocked view of the ocean & island.||||Definitely stay here. The owner, his father, or Mr. Lee will even pick you up & take you to the train station for free. I am definitely coming back here next time! Oh and there's a 7-11 right...

Stayed a night at this B&B on first ever visit to Taitung. Owing to this timing of our itinerary - arriving late and leaving early the next morning - didn't have much time to enjoy what it had to offer, but overall it was up to expectations the few hours we spent in there. Balcony looking out to the coast was much welcome - we sat out there at night with our whisky bottle in tow and enjoying the lovely breeze (though would have been much better in daylight). The room and bathroom are clean, spacious and well-equipped with all that a traveller would require. One drawback is that breakfast options are limited to what I suspect are takeaways from a nearby...
